Instructions for Pediatric Grand Rounds preparation:

Please send the following information and documents to

  1. Presentation Title
  2. Presentation Learning Objectives: 2-4 objectives
  3. Your current CV
  4. Signed Media Release if applicable

Instructions:

  1. Conflict of Interest Disclosure – Anyone who plans, speaks or contributes substantially to the educational program of Pediatric Grand Rounds must disclose commercial conflicts of interest for themselves and their spouse/partner. Please see attached list of possible relationships that require disclosure.
  2. Fill out online disclosure form

  4. If you have relevant disclosures, the Pediatric Grand Rounds planning committee must review your presentation slides BEFORE your presentation.
  5. Disclose status to the audience before presenting educational material
  6. Faculty Development Coordinator will prepare the disclosure slide and distribute it to the mailing list BEFORE the presentation.
  7. Media Release Form – Anyone who is not an employee of OHSU must read and sign a Media Release form.
  8. Pediatric Grand Rounds is open to the public and all material must be HIPAA compliant.
  9. In order to offer CME credit, a presentation must have stated learning objectives.
  10. Focus on outcomes. Objectives should reflect what you expect the learners will know and/or do after participating in Grand Rounds.
  11. Example outcomes are comprehension, application, synthesis, evaluation, and/or skills gained from the presented material.
  12. Example objective: “At the conclusion of this presentation, physicians will be able to apply 3 rules to identify xyz disease.”
  13. Pediatric Grand Rounds is scheduled for 1 hour and begins promptly at 8 am. It is recommended that presentations be designed for 40 minutes of material with 10-15 minutes for questions and discussion. This will allow up to 5 minutes for announcements and introductions at the beginning. It is OK to end 5 minutes early!
