What Happened At This Week’s Kiwanis Club Meeting

Flag Salute:Martin Ruiz, “The Man”, who is stepping into those Kiwanis Secretary shoes.

Patriotic Song Leader: Al Smith,Nice to get the Songsmith back on the job. “Refreshing”

Invocation & Special Words: Melody Neidhart,Nice words to inspire the gang at holiday time.

Lucky Dog Drawing Master: Tom Irvin,Providing us with Christmas Cash & smiles too.

Lucky Dog Winner: Steve Harvey.Just the right amount of money for his brother’s gift.

Dice Roller: Paul Gray, Who rolled a 6 & a 2 and that is NOT a winner. Next time $45.

Happy Bucks Collector: Theresa Samuelsen, Great job extracting $35 from your friends.

Dates and Events to Remember

  1. December 25th: Christmas and the day after the Hawks had a bad day.
  1. December 30th: Our club will be working at the Town Toyota Center Wenatchee Wild hockey game selling 50/50 tickets to raise money. The Wild now requires us to purchase and or sell 25 tickets to have the privilege to host this event. President Doug Head has these tickets available and needs to sell them or our club or Doug will have to pay for them. (To purchase tickets call Doug Head: (509) 393-5785.)
  1. January 5th: Division Council meeting at the First United Methodist Church on the corner of Miller and Washington Streets. Meeting will be hosted by Apple Valley Kiwanis. Social time begins at 6:30 PM with the meeting following signing in, raffle ticket sales and refreshments. Meeting will start at 7:00 PM.
  1. February 5th: Super Bowl at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. “Go Hawks”. That means – do a lot better than you did playing Arizona today or you’ll not see NRG Stadium.
  1. May 6th: Kiwanis Apple Blossom Pancake Breakfast. That is just 132 days from today. Yikes – we’d better start cranking up the old machine and plan for another great success.

ANNOUNCEMENT

  1. Ken Adam, our friend in rehab is still rehabbing. Needless to say, he has been recovering for a long time.The word on the street is he is improving and in time he should be able to leave that facility for his primary residence. Keep the phone calls and cards going to Ken. He appreciates them very much! Colonial Vista: 662-8489.
  1. JeromeTuss, our President Elect lead our club meeting today and as always he did an outstanding job. Thank you Jerome! You continue to make our club proud and you keep things fun.
  1. Walla & Sharon Barker sold their house in East Wenatchee and are now full time RV travelers presently in Arizona. Your Kiwanis friends wish you the best health and much fun.

TODAY’S MEETING

Today we had a general discussion meeting talking about our Children’s Christmas Party, “Wenatchee Wild” Pancake Breakfast, and Membership. Nineteen members participated in a fine discussion, which reminded us all what a bunch of really special members there are in our club. “Merry Christmas” everyone!

Our Last Gathering of 2016

There is NO MEETING at THE RED LION on Tuesday the27THBUT we are meeting for a round table type gathering, (see below)

December 27th: Offsite(noon) gathering atRiverside Pub, 538 Riverside Drive, Wenatchee. We will entertain ourselves with great conversation & have a fine lunch at this Pub. Earl: Call me if you need a ride.
