DRIVING DIRECTIONS - SALTCITY CAT SHOW – September 23-24, 2006

TO THE SHOW HALL:

From the South, take I-81 north and leave I-81 at Exit 16. Go under I-81 to NY Route 11. Turn right on Route 11 (North) and the Show Hall is on your right, 6/10’s of a mile.

From the North, take I-81 south to Exit 16. Turn right off the exit onto NY Route 11. The Show Hall is on the right, 6/10’s of a mile.

From the West on the NYS Thruway (I-90), take Exit 36 onto I-81 South to Exit 16. Go right off the service road onto NY Route 11 North. The Show Hall is .6/10’s of a mile on your right.

From the East on the NYS Thruway (I-90) leave the thruway at Exit 34A and follow I-481South onto Route I-81 South. Exit 16 is about 2 miles south. Follow the above directions to the Show Hall.

TO THE HOTEL/MOTELS:

Holiday Inn (100 Farrell Road, telephone 315-457-8700), exit the NYS Thruway (1-90) at Exit 39 onto I-690 East, follow to Exit 4 John Glenn Blvd. At traffic light go left on Farrell Road for 1 mile.

Microtel (Old Collamer Road, telephone 315-437-3500 or 1-800-771-7171), exit NYS Thruway

(I-90) at Exit 35 and drive all the way around Carrier Circle. Follow 298 East watching on your left for Old Collamer Road. Make a left onto that road and go about 1/4 mile and you’ll see the Motel sign. Small rooms, OK for 1 person. $39.95 + 13% taxes. Lovely restaurants in the Carrier Circle area.

Red Roof Inn (6701 Thompson Road, telephone 315-437-3309), exit NYS Thruway (I-90) at Exit 35. Make your first right hand turn as you start to go around Carrier Circle. Motel is heading north and is on your right across from Denny’s. $80 for two people. $73 for a single plus taxes.

FROM THE HOTEL/MOTELS TO THE SHOW HALL:

Holiday Inn. From the hotel get onto I-690 East to I-81South to Exit 16. Turn right off of the exit onto NY Route 11. Show Hall is on the right 6/10’s of a mile.

If you are flying in, the DoubleTree on 6701 Buckley Road, North Syracuse13212, telephone 315-457-3847, has pick-up service from the Airport. We haven’t reserved any rooms in this hotel, but we have used them in the past and they are “animal friendly“ and close to I-90 and I-81. To I-81 make a right turn out of the hotel, go to the first traffic light, make a left turn and at next light go left onto I-81 and follow signs that say I-81 South. See directly above for continued directions.

*Microtel. Follow Old Collamer Road back to 298 West to Carrier Circle. Get back on NYS Thruway (I-90) and go West to Exit 36. Then follow I-81 South to Exit 16 and follow the above directions. OR, you can go East back to Exit 34A and follow I-481 South to I-81 South and leave I-81 South at Exit 16 and follow the above directions.

*Red Roof Inn (Carrier Circle). Left out of Motel to Thompson Road South to I-690 West to I-81 South. Or go around Carrier Circle and get back on I-90 & follow directions under Microtel.

*NOTICE: The shortest way to the Show Hall from Carrier Circle is around Carrier Circle South to Thompson Road South to I-690 West to I-81 South OR you can take the scenic route outlined above.
