l  Italian Menu: milk, pizza, salad, cake
l  Indian Menu: juice, curry and rice, fried chicken, ice cream
l  Japanese Menu: green tea, sushi, miso soup, mochi / ü  Use picture cards.

Activity I:

Collection Game / l  Food-Court Collection Game:
Ø  Make Four-Corners Food-Court:
²  Each corner of room is different Food-Stand
²  Stock each Stand with mini-cards
Ø  Divide class into roles: Staff and Shoppers
Ø  Staff sets up Stands / Shoppers go shopping
Ø  Staff starts conversation:
²  Can I help you? / Yes, please.
What do you want? / I want ～.
Here you are. / Thank you.
Ø  Shoppers buy 4 Menu Items and then sit down
²  Try to get a set: 1 drink / 2 foods / 1 sweet
Ø  Staff and Shoppers change roles and try again / ü  Mini-cards.
ü  Push desks to corners.
ü  American, Italian, Indian, Japanese.
ü  ALT / HRT model.
ü  If Staff doesn’t have chosen Menu Item, say “Sorry.” and try again.
ü  Play many rounds so everyone can try both.
