  1. What is a “site”?
  1. A “site” is a single building. If a district consists of one contiguous building, K-12, then they will pay for only one site. If a district consists of more than one building, they will need to purchase a license for each building that will be utilizing the music.
  1. How often will I need to renew this license?
  1. This purchase is a one-time purchase and there are no subscription or renewal fees. It is considered to be a Lifetime License.
  1. May students or staff members “cut” or edit the music clips?
  1. Yes—they may cut, dice, slice and edit. The only restriction is that you cannot make a copy and sell it as royalty free music.
  1. May a school use this for background music during its morning announcements, or as music for their annual video yearbook?
  1. Absolutely yes! Provided the building has purchased the license, this is exactly the purpose of this music.
  1. May students or staff use this as part of their multimedia presentations?
  1. Absolutely yes! Provided the building has purchased the license, this is exactly the purpose of this music.
  1. May students use the music as part of a presentation that they may be creating and selling to others (i.e., parents)?
  1. Yes, this is permitted, as long as the sale is not for the purposes of selling royalty free music.
  1. What is the cost for this product?
  1. Regular price is $99 per volume (each volume includes three CDs); there are five volumes available. This price is per building. There is a special price for BOCES Media Coop Members—see attached. BOCES Media Coop members may offer this price to their component schools, providing that the BOCES coordinates the ordering and distribution.
  1. What does each building receive with their purchase?
  1. Each building will receive access to the files for each Volume purchased.
  1. May a building or district mount this music on a server?
  1. Yes! The Licensee may upload the purchased volumes to a school server for file sharing by the buildings purchasing the license.
  1. Will there be more Volumes available?
  1. According to Barry B. Brit, Executive Producer of Soundzabound, they are already working on Volume 7.
