Hygienic conveying even on small areas

Food producers and OEMs should plan a visit to stand 400 in hall B6 for Forbo Siegling’s showcase of its wide range of products and services to industry professionals.

Siegling Prolink plastic modular belts now with micro pitch

Plastic modular belts complement traditional fabric-based conveyor belts and offer customers a surprising variety. In terms of flexibility, process reliability and cleaning capabilities, Siegling Prolink plastic modular belts are a good choice, particularly in the food segment. The belts are used in the baked goods industry in processes concerned with emptying baking tins, cooling, frosting, laminating, decorating, glazing and packaging. Furthermore, all belts made of materials customary in the industry comply with FDA, EU and USDA regulations.

Presentation of the new Siegling Prolink series 13 at iba

With a small end diameter (dmin = 6 mm) and a pitch of just 8 mm which was especially developed for small product transfers, series 13 is called a micro pitch option for good reason. Even returns over fixed knife edges are possible. Therefore, the gap for transferring products between two belts can be small, minimising the risk of damaging the products, or causing them to pile up.

No chance for sticky dough

Series 13 is available in a Flat Top (closed, flat surface) and an NPY (closed, inverted pyramid pattern) version. The inverted pyramid pattern ensures superb product release and therefore excels at conveying sticky dough.

The Siegling Transilon fabric-based belts also come with special surface patterns – such as inverted pyramid, DIA, or quartz sand patterns. Dough releases particularly well from these types too and the belts can therefore be cleaned quickly and thoroughly. Depending on the process function required, polyurethane-coated belts (with fabric tension member), or homogeneous elastic belts are good solutions. The latter are ideal for small-sized applications like spreading belts in divider-rounders, or in weighing, labelling systems and labelling equipment. They are ideal in areas of dough processing where only very small, or no take-up ranges exist.

Belt edges protected by Frayfree and Smartseal ensure better hygiene

Transilon Frayfree belts are superb choices in the food segment. The design of these Transilon belts helps minimise fraying on the belt edges and therefore food contamination. Forbo Siegling is constantly updating its product range and can offer a variety of Frayfree types. SmartSeal belt edge sealing is equally as hygienic. The patented process prevents decomposition of the belt edge and wear and tear on the belt without impairing its mechanical characteristics.

All Forbo Siegling’s innovative developments are designed to create perfect processing, enhanced hygiene and to offer the right belt for any steps in process chain.

Good release characteristics, a high level of resistance to oil, grease and hydrolysis, or excellent cleaning capabilities guarantee top product quality. These features help customers in the baking or baked-goods industries to achieve and maintain high standards of hygiene.
