Space Grants 2012
What are Space Grants?
A Space Grant is free use of rehearsal space at Dancehouse for a specified period and for a specified purpose.
Dancehouse currently offers two types of Space Grant; Summer Space Grants and Quick Response Space Grants.
Summer Space Grants
Dancehouse will be offering summer space grants of up to 30 hours for creative development periods. The rehearsal time will be available at the Dancehouse studios between 1 December 2011 and 28 February 2012.
Successful applicants will consult with the Artistic Director, Angela Conquet at the beginning and mid-way points of their creative development period.
Recipients, should it be appropriate to individual cases, will be enabled to present the results of their research, either as performed excerpts and/or discussion.
A short written report is also required to acquit the grant. As an aid to monitoring how Dancehouse is accessed we ask that all successful applicants provide an account of attendance numbers at any showings they may present as part of their Space Grant.
Applications for Summer Space Grants 2011 open MONDAY 19 SEPTEMBER, 2011 and close FRIDAY 28OCTOBER, 2011 at 5pm.
Quick Response Space Grants
Throughout 2012, some smaller space grants will also be available at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
Applications for Quick Response Space Grants can be made at any time. Please provide as much information as may be useful for Dancehouse to determine your application.
