KETCHMORE KIDS Annual Toy Drive Yields Record Turnout
Several hundred local media, celebrities’ and businesses came together to Act
Charlotte, NC- Ketchmore Kids of Charlotte (KK) hosted its 6th Annual Toy Drive “Living through Giving” on Saturday December 13, 2010 at Master Kutz Barber & Beauty with several hundred participants enjoying the festivities and lending their time, compassion, talent and toys to ensure as many families as possible received assistance during these trying times.
Master Kutz Barber & Barber returned as location sponsor as did recurring supporters With These Hands Mix Academy, Kazar Ent. and Cohesion Marketing & PR. “For me and my team, there is not a question of will we return as a sponsor but how many more people can we bring with us. Ketchmore Kids is the real deal and I am committed to helping them reach their goals” says KK board member Kazar, owner of Kazar Ent.
Additional sponsors include Pryd Clothing, House of Dubs, DTLR, 5 Star Entertainment and many more. On hand was a bevy of local celebrities putting “their money where their mouth is” during this seasons donation kick off event with live performances by Royal Tee and J Hut and more.
“I am proudly overwhelmed with the amount of support we received this year, this is by far the largest toy
drive we’ve had to date. To see the growth and commitment shared for the community, by the community is indeed a manifestation of my vision for Ketchmore Kids. Because of this weekend alone, we are now able to provide Christmas Sponsorships for fifteen 2-3 child families; not including providing toys for over 100 children at the Salvation Army Women’s and Children’s Shelter. And we’re not done with collections to come throughout the remainder of the month! I am full of gratitude” notes Chanell Ketchmore, founder of Ketchmore Kids. “We really haven’t even begun yet, there’s so much more we want to do and I know with your support, we will do so!” she continues.
