We are all getting really excited about the Buckingham Palace Gold Award Presentation, so to help youwith executing your own social media and to support you in leveraging possible local media opportunities,we haveproduced a Communications Toolkit, especially for you.
Using the template materials in the Communications Toolkityou canmaximise this great opportunity andspread the wordabout the fantastic work you do and what you’ve achieved;whether that’s as a Licensed Organisation, a Gold Award holder or a DofE Diamond Challenger.
By telling your story you will alsohelp us promote and celebrate the life and work benefits of the DofE in our anniversary year, to encourage more organisations and young people to get involved; to run or do their DofE or take up the DofE Diamond Challenge and raise over £60 for our Charity.
Included in this toolkit is;
- Press release templates–a great way to tell your local media that you not only attended Buckingham Palace, but also how you’re involved with the DofE. It is the perfect time to tell everyone about the the fantastic support you give to young people, all that hard work you put in to achieve your Gold Award or about the challenge you have chosen as your DofE Diamond Challenge and what you’re doing for our Charity.

- Tips for photography– make sure you take a look at this before you get to Buckingham Palace, lots of information for you regarding photography on the day including some restrictions that we ask you to take note of please.
- A social media bank – this includes suggested tweets for before and after the event, including the hashtag that will be used throughout the official DofE social media channels.
