Modeling & Simulation Engineer

Location: Hanscom AFB (Bedford, MA)

Clearance Required: Secret

Anticipated Start Date: Immediate

PCI is actively seeking aModeling & Simulation Engineer to provide Engineering support to the Force Protection Division, which is within the BattleManagement Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing military requirements analysis, threat system analysis, system survivabilityanalysis, mission performance/effectiveness analysis, force level effectivenessanalysis, military utility, and operations analysis
  • Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performancemodels and algorithms, threat models and command and control models.
  • Simulates real-time operations and develops software that simulates behavior ofsystems.
  • Develops integrates and uses advanced graphical user interfaces and visualizationtools.
  • Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computersimulation and recommends alternative architectures.
  • Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis
  • Perform mission concept development, mission threads development, system architecture development, and model based system engineering
  • Develop and adapt existing models, methods, and simulations to support the design,development, and assessment of advanced system design concepts and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology or Engineering discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of Modeling & Simulation experience in an aerospace / defense environment.
  • Direct experience with modeling/analysis of technologies such as: radar, sensors, non-kinetic effects, or communications is highly desired.
  • Specific experience with development, integration, and/or test of radar systems, sensor processing/fusion algorithms, and data links is highly preferred.
  • Work experience with complex, military systems (aircraft, ships, spacecraft, etc.) and/or subsystems is preferred.
  • Work experience with Cybersecurity, RMF or NIST Framework
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Candidate must obtain, and maintain, the proper personnel clearance for this position – Secret
