Plan for 11th and 12th Graders by WTCC Program Area
**Remember that if you have any questions, we will be calling all students on Monday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 18 to talk with them about these plans. Please be ready to ask any questions you have at that time.
Cosmetology
Where: All Cosmetology students will be attending classes at Wake Tech’s Main Campus at 9101 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603.
When: The bell schedule for students at Main Campus will be from 7:40- 2:00.
Transportation: If you carpool, you will be dropped off and picked up at the Cosmetology Salon building (labeled COS on the WTCC Map posted with this document on our website). If you drive, you will park in visitor parking temporarily and report to the Cosmetology Salon building. If you ride the bus, you will go to your normal express stop location, ride to Southeast Raleigh, and there will be a shuttle bus that brings you to Main Campus. The teacher assigned to Main Campus will meet you at the bus stop drop off in front of the PLM Building on the first morning and walk with you all to the COS building.
Food: Lunch will be provided on the WTCC campus if you choose to get school lunch. You may also bring your own lunch. You will not be able to leave the WTCC for lunch.
There will be a VMCCA teacher assigned to be at this location with you all day.
Nurse Aide (11th Grade Only)
Where: All 11th grade Nurse Aide students will be attending classes at Wake Health Sciences Early College at 2901 Holston Ln, Raleigh, NC 27610. This is located in the Perry Health Science Education Building on the Wake Med Hospital Campus off New Bern Ave.
When: The bell schedule for students at this campus will be 7:30- 2:10.
Transportation: If you carpool, you will be dropped off at the WECHS building (Perry Health Science Education Building on the Wake Med Hospital Campus off New Bern Ave.) If you drive, you will park in visitor parking and report to the WECHSbuilding. If you ride the bus, you will go to your normal express stop location, ride to Southeast Raleigh High, and there will be a shuttle bus that brings you to the WECHS campus. The VMCCA teacher assigned to this campus will meet you at the bus drop off on the first day and walk you to your classes.
Food: Lunch will be provided using the same process that the WECHS students use, or you can bring your own lunch. You will not be able to leave the campus for lunch.
There will be a VMCCA teacher assigned to be at this location with you all day.
Facilities Tech, Collision Repair, and Welding
Where: All students in Facilities Tech, Collision Repair, and Welding will be attending classes at the Auxiliary Building at the Vernon Malone College and Career Academy. Thankfully, the Auxiliary Building sustained no damage from the flooding.
When: The bell schedule will remain the same: 7:25-2:18.
Transportation: Your transportation will not change. If you ride the bus, you will still be on the same express route to Southeast and will shuttle to VMCCA. If you carpool, you can be dropped off directly at the Aux Building. If you drive, you can park in your space.
Food: Lunch will be provided at the Auxiliary Building by the WCPSS Cafeteria Staff if you choose to get school lunch, or you can bring your own lunch. Those of you with lunch passes can also still use your lunch pass option.
There will be a VMCCA teacher assigned to be at this location with you all day.
Nurse Aide (12th grade), Biopharm, and Geomatics
Where: All Nurse Aide Seniors, Biopharm, and Geomatics sudents will be attending classes at the former Wakefield 9th grade center with the 9th and 10th graders. The address is 931 Durham Rd. Wake Forest.
When: The bell schedule for the former Wakefield 9th Grade Center building location is 7:55-1:45.
Transportation: All bus plans will remain in tact. Students who have been bus riders will still go to the same express stops and be transported to Southeast Raleigh High School. Once there, they will ride shuttle buses to the Wakefield 9th Grade Center. If you drive, you may drive to this location and park in any available space. Spaces will not be assigned. If you carpool, make sure you are dropped no earlier than 7:45 and picked up no later than 2:30.
Food: There is a cafeteria at the location that will serve Breakfast and Lunch. You will continue to be able to leave campus if you have a lunch pass.
Simulation and Game Development
Where: All Simulation and Game Development students will be attending classes at Wake Tech’s Main Campus at 9101 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603.

If you drive, you will park in visitor parking temporarily and report to the ETB (Engineering and Technology) building. If you ride the bus, you will go to your normal express stop location, ride to Southeast Raleigh, and there will be a shuttle bus that brings you to Main Campus. The teacher assigned to Main Campus will meet you at the bus stop drop off in front of the PLM building on the first morning and walk with you all to the ETB building.
