For the following two (2) essay questions, please use another sheet of paper, type your responses, and staple to this application. All essays should be a minimum 250 words, double spaced with Times New Roman, 12 point font.
1. Please explain in detail your list in Section II – School/Community Activities/Work Experience. What did you learn and how will affect your future plans?
2. Please explain in detail the items listed in Section III – Special Awards, Honors and Recognition. What accomplishments are you most proud of and why?

• One from your program instructor
• One personal recommendation (not a relative)
✔ A copy of your resume
✔ A copy of your acceptance letter to Lake Michigan College, if available. This must be turned in prior to receiving award (no later than September 1).

Note: This information will be acquired from transcripts. Special consideration regarding GPA may be given if student has any of the following: severe illness, family catastrophe, etc. Attendance and student referrals will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Tech Center Grade Point (10 Points)
4.0 – 3.76 = 10 points
3.75 – 3.51 = 8 points
3.50 – 3.26 = 6 points
3.25 – 3.01 = 4 points
3.0 – 2.75 = 2 points
2.74 or below = 0 points
Two (2) Essay Questions (25 points possible per question, 50 points maximum)
Content and quality of essays on application should determine points.
Scholarship Interview (40 points possible). Interviews will be scheduled during April. Please bring support materials to the interview and be ready to discuss your abilities and skills with the committee. Applicants should dress in proper business attire for the interview (no blue jeans or tennis shoes should be worn to the interview).
