Release of Examination Results for 2007-08Summer Term

The 2007-08 Summer Term examination resultswill be announced on 18 August 2008. In this connection, we would like to draw your attention to the following:

Enquiry of Examination Result via Web

You are advised to enquire your 2007-08 Summer Term examination results via the AS’s Student Pagecommencing 18 August 2008. To avoid overloading the web enquiry system, the examination results will be announced according to the following schedule:

Faculty/SchoolTime

FCLU, FCOM, FENG, FHSS9:00 a.m.

FAST, FB, SD, SHTM10:00 a.m.

Separate email will be sent on 18 August 2008 reminding you to check the examination results. However, some of the students may receive the reminder email earlier if their examination results can be made available for announcement before the time specified above. Please ensure that sufficient space will be available in your mailbox to receive the new message.

Please note that the function for checking your cumulative examination results (i.e. the option of “All Semesters”) will be temporarily suspended during 13– 18August 2008to facilitate the finalisation of Summer Term examination results. The function will be available again starting from 5:00 p.m. on 18 August 2008.

Request for Official Examination Results Notifications (ERN)

If you need an official ERN for employment or further study purpose, you can approach your Faculty Office direct on or before 31 October 2008. Any request made after this date will not be entertained and you will be required to apply for the transcript of studies on a paid basis.

Application for Paid Transcript of Studies

The University will issue a free transcript of studies to graduates of 2007-08 Summer Term around early September 2008. If you have an urgent need for the transcript of studies, you may apply for one on a paid basis by completing form AS3 which can be obtained from the AS homepage at

14th Congregation - Main Conferment Session and Faculty/School Conferment Sessions

The University will organize a Main Session for the conferment of Honorary Doctorates, and for PhD and Professional Doctorates for all Faculties/Schools on Thursday, 23 October 2008. The conferment of all other levels of awards, from sub-degree awards to Master’s Degree, including MPhil, will be made at separate Faculty/School Conferment Sessions which will be held during the period from 25 October to 12 November 2008.

If you are a graduate in the 2007-08 academicyear, you will receive details of the arrangements for the Congregation from the Academic Secretariat or from your Faculty/School in early September 2008. Updated information for the 14th Congregation will, once available, also be posted at the Academic Secretariat websiteat
