FACILITIES AND AMENITIES:

Dance Place San Diego’s state of the art facilities includes eleven dance studios, men’s and women’s dressing rooms, lockers, showers and a beautiful green room, with a kitchen (includes microwave and refrigerator). The green room is a gorgeous place for the dancers to relax in between classes and enjoy their lunch.

Students will be placed according to their skill level, with roughly two groupings. Within this placement there are options for classes and repertory study. The workshop will conclude with a performance of the choreography learned in workshop repertory classes. The performance is Saturday, August 15, 2015. Workshop classes are Monday through Friday from 9 AM - 7 PM. There will be two 30 minute breaks in the middle of the day. Although there are nearby grocery stores and restaurants, we suggest that students plan to bring a lunch daily to best utilize their lunch break.

Housing and Transportation:

Housing and transportation requests should be made at the time of application. Housing costs are $150 per week per student. This includes transportation and housing accommodations, but does not include food. There are many options nearby to the studio for grocery and restaurants.

POLICIES:

Only students attending full-time for both weeks are eligible for scholarship consideration.
Scholarship awards are made at the discretion of San Diego Dance Theater. All dancers will be notified of acceptance by e-mail. A deposit of $100 is required no later than June 1, 2015to hold your award. Otherwise, scholarship monies will be redistributed to other students.
Students that pay the full tuition of by June 1 , 2015 will receive a $50 discount for a total tuition cost of only $600.
Every dancer enrolling in the Summer Workshop must sign a waiver of liability (form below).
No refunds or adjustments are made for a missed class or classes for any reason.
Participation in the Summer Workshop does not guarantee employment by San Diego Dance Theater.
