CLASS 7 .. NOVICE HORSE OR PONY - ANY TYPE OF VEHICLE
The Area 10 challenge trophy will be awarded to the turnout with the most potential and commemorative rosettes presented to all entrants in this class. No place rosettes.
CLASS 8 .. PLEASURE DRIVING for those who do not show in private driving classes. Simple tasks may be set. All competitors will receive a special rosette presented by Carriage Driving Magazine.

RULES
THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL REGARDING ALL MATTERS.
ALL TURNOUTS MUST BE DRIVEN BY & BELONG TO CURRENT BDS MEMBERS.
ANY CLASS MAY BE SPLIT , AMALGAMATED OR CANCELLED ON THE DAY.
NO ANIMAL UNDER 4 YEARS OLD MAY COMPETE.
ANY ENTRY MAY BE REFUSED AT THE SECRETARYS DISCRETION.
6. THE ORGANISERS DO NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY FOR ANY ACCIDENT ,DAMAGE ,
INJURY OR ILLNESS TO HORSES , PONIES , DRIVERS , SPECTATORS OR ANY OTHER PERSONS OR PROPERTY WHATSOEVER.
7. Young drivers must be aged 10 years or over on the first day of the show at which they are to compete. A driver under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the vehicle by a competent and responsible person aged 18 years or over, a “responsible adult”. Proof of age will be required if necessary. It is the responsibility of the owner/driver (if over 18) or (if the owner/driver is under 18) the responsible adult to ensure that his/her groom/s is/are competent for the purpose of attending to the turnout and aged 10 or over on the day of the show. When in the vehicle grooms, passenger/s and driver must have their feet firmly on the floor of the vehicle or use a suitable fixed footrest. THOSE UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE MUST WEAR A CORRECTLY FITTED HARD HAT WHILST IN A CARRIAGE OR IN ATTENDANCE TO A TURNOUT.
These regulations apply at all times and in all areas on the showground.
8. A novice animal is defined at this show as one that has not won a first prize in any harness class up to the show date.
9 . ONLY THOSE ALREADY QUALIFIED MAY ENTER THE STYLE & PERFORMANCE CHAMPIONSHIP.
CLASSES 8 & 9 ARE QUALIFIERS FOR THE 2018 OSBORNE REFRIGERATORS BDS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS at DRIVING ADDINGTON ( prov.).
The highest placed turnout owned & driven by a member of the BDS & eligible for the following type/sections disregarding those already qualified down to 6th place ( 10th place for type-sections
n-o ) will qualify for the 2018 Semi Finals at Driving Addington ( prov.)
The Championship will immediately follow the Semi Finals.

i - Pairs and Tandems - Open. Any height
j - Two wheel Light Trade
