ONE BUDDING ROBBER ARRESTED.

INVOLVED IN TWO CASES OF ROBBERY.

TWO ROBBED MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED.

INTRODUCTION:-

With the arrest of Gaurav and recovery of two robbed mobile phones, Crime Branch has successfully sent a budding robber behind the bars.

Control of street crime being a priority of Crime Branch, so Northern Range was entrusted with the duty to collect intelligence and arrest the robbers/burglars/autolifters active in Delhi.

INFORMATION AND TEAM:-

An input was received that a robber would be coming near Pitampura Metro Station to dispose off the robbed mobile phones. A team led by Inspr Arvind Kumar and comprising of SIs Braham Dev, Gurmeet Singh, HCs Hanuman, Mohd Abrar, Rishi, Ramesh, Cts Verendra, Ashok Kumar, Ajay, Rambir, Surendra was constituted and sources were deployed to develop the information, under the close supervision of ACP Sanjeev Kumar Tomar and overall guidance of DCP Kumar Gyanesh.

On 5.4.2014, an information was received and accordingly, the team laid a trap and at the instance of the informer accused Gaurav s/o Pawan Kumar @ Bittoo r/o J-76, New Shyam Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Delhi-18 was apprehended from the slip road, below Pitampura Metro Station Delhi.

INTERROGATION AND PROFILE:-

During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that his family had moved from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi few years ago and settled in the jhuggi cluster of Shyam Nagar, Tilak Nagar. He is a school drop-out, hardly studied up 8th Standard. Due to financial crunch, he had hired a battery operated Rickshaw. With the passage of time, he slipped into the bad company of boys and became a drug addict. Few days ago, even the owner of rickshaw took his rickshaw back, which rendered him to hand to mouth existence. However, the craving for drugs forced him to slip into crime. On 28.03.2014, his associates had robbed a person on knife-point near Khalsa College, Kingsway Camp on the pretext of past feud between one of their sisters and the target. Thereafter, on 31.03.2014, he alongwith his accomplice namely Amit had robbed one young boy near Tabbi Mandir, Tilak Nagar and took away his belongings like driving license, cash and Micromax Mobile phone. His associate was caught red handed while he managed his escape with the robbed mobile phone.

RECOVERY:-

  1. One Micromax Mobile phone robbed from Tilak Nagar.
  2. One Nokia Mobile phone robbed from Khalsa College.

The accused was produced in court and was sent to judicial custody. Information about other accused has already been shared with the local police.

ROBBERS ARRESTED

The staff of Police Station Mundka, West District has formally arrested two robbers namely Vinod and Ganesh in connection with Robbery, burglary committed in the area of PS Mundka.

NAME AND PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON

  1. Vinod @ Sunil @ Kana @ Raju S/o Bhawani Bheekh R/o Village Hazipur PS-Jalalpur, Distt- Ambedkar Nagar Faizabad U.P. age 27 years.

He was born in village Hazipur. He studied up to 2nd class. Because of poverty, he could not continue his education and came to Delhi in search of job. He started as labourer and later started committing crime to meet his expenses.

He was born in village Hirota in 1975. He is illiterate and works as scrap dealer in Village Tikri Kalan. He used to purchase stolen goods from persons and sells it further to meet his personal expenses.

INCIDENT & INTERROGATION

On 04/04/14 the Crime Branch had apprehended two persons namely Vinod @ Sunil @ Kana @ Raju and Ganesh Prasad in connection with a robbery committed on 01/03/14 in the area of Vill- Mundka in case FIR No 98/14 dated 01/03/14 u/s 392/34 IPC PS Mundka. In this case, the accused had robbed the mobile phone of security guard and Inverter battery, Gas cylinder, and CCTV Monitor from the godown. The accused were arrested in case FIR No.98/14, dated 01.03.14 u/s 392/34 IPC at PS Mundka and they were also taken on Police Remand by the staff PS Mundka. The staff of PS Mundka on interrogation recovered the mobile phone, inverter battery and the gas cylinder from the shop of accused Ganesh in Tikri Kalan whom they had sold it. On sustained interrogation accused have also disclosed about their involvement in the above mentioned cases

The Staff of Police Station Khyala, West District has done an excellent piece of work by arresting one bootlegger namely Kulwant and seized 96 quarters of illicit liquor from his possession.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

In view of forthcoming General Lok Sabha Election – 2014, a secret watch is being kept on the activities of all known bootleggers. On 05.04.2014, a secret information was received to Ct Ravi Kumar, No. 3294/W (Beat Officer of PS Khyala) that one person namely Kulwant will come to Raghubir Nagar with illicit liquor from the side of P-Block, Raghubir Nagar. Immediately, on receipt of the information a team consisting of HC Satyavir Singh No. 1681/W and Ct Ravi No. 3294/Wwas constituted under the supervision of Inspr. Tanvir Ashraf, SHO/Khyala. A raid was conducted at the spot i.e. P-Block, Main Road, Raghubir Nagar Delhi. On the instance of the informer, accused Kulwant was arrested and 02 cartons of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. One carton was for the sale in Haryana and another carton was for the sale in Arunachal Pradesh only. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 261/14 dated 05.04.2014 u/s 33/38 Delhi Excise Act was registered in Police Station Khyala and investigation was taken up by local police.

SNATCHER ARRESTED

The staff of P.S. Mianwali Nagar, West District has arrested one snatcher namely Amanpreet on the charge of attempt to burglary and have recovered Samsung S-4 Mobile phone, Nokia Lumia 720, One ladies Purse containing Rs 420 and keys, 3 Cutter Machines, 2 drilling machines and 1 grinder. With his arrest, 06 cases of snatching have been worked out.

INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION

On the intervening night of 04/05.04.14, one Amanpreet entered an under construction building at 255 Bhera Enclave Paschim Vihar Delhi. While he was trying to sneak out from the house after stealing 3 Cutter Machines, 2 drilling machines and 1 grinder etc., caretaker of the building woke up and raised alarm. The accused was apprehended and handed over to local police. A case vide FIR No.247/14, U/s 380/411 IPC was registered in PS Mianwali Nagar and investigation has taken up. During the search of the accused, two mobile phones, One ladies purse containing Rs 420 and some keys alongwith items stolen from under construction site were recovered from him.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI

On sustained interrogation accused Amanpreet disclosed that he has snatched Samsung S-4 mobile phone from the area of P.S Paschim Vihar (in case FIR No. 278/14) and another Nokia Lumia 720 mobile from the area of PS Tilak Nagar (in case FIR No.376/14). From the arrest of above said accused 06 cases of snatching of the area of Police Stations Paschim Vihar, Tilak Nagar and Nangloi have been solved. The accused disclosed that he has a passion for expensive mobile phones, but due to unemployment he failed to fulfill his desire so he started committing snatchings. He used to target alone lady at secluded place.

BURGLARER ARRESTED

04 CASES OF BURGLARY/ HOUSE THEFT WORKED OUT

With the arrest of one person namely Shiv Prasad @ Kanthi, police team of Police Station Nihal Vihar, West District has worked out four cases of house thefts/ house burglary committed in the area of PS Nihal Vihar, Delhi and its adjoining area.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED

Shiv Prasad Kantho S/o Shivdhari R/o HMP- 64/65, 12 ½ yards Raghubir Nagar, Delhi age 43 years is an illiterate born in a village of U.P. Later he came in Delhi but he was facing acute shortage of money and finding difficult to earn his livelihood. To fulfill his requirement, he started committing the petty thefts. He wanted to earn easy money to live easy life.

INCIDENT

On 12/01/14, one Rakesh S/o Lakeh Raj, Laxmi Park Delhi reported that on the night of 11/12.01.14 someone has stolen some mobile phones from his shop at B-125 Laxmi park after breaking the lock of his shop. A case was registered vide FIR No. 16/14 dated 12/01/14 u/s 457/380 IPC PS Nihal vihar. On 17/03/14, Sandeep R/o Dilip Vihar, Chander Vihar reported that on the night of 16/17.03.14 some unknown persons opened the shutter of his shop for committing theft. This incident was registered vide FIR No. 181/14 on dated 17/03/14 u/s 380/511 IPC. On 04.04.14 Ramu S/o Ram Khatu R/o B-91 Shani vihar Nihal vihar reported that he went away after closing his rented room. On 02.04.14 when he returned, he found that some one has stolen his Rs. 500/-. A case vide FIR No. 237/14 u/s 380 IPC was registered at PS Nihal Vihar.

POLICE TEAM

Keeping in view of the increasing house theft cases in the area, a team under the supervision of Inspr. B.R. Sankhla (SHO/Nihal Vihar), comprising HC Vinod 1151/W, Ct. Naresh 3151/W, Ct Parveen, No. 1112/W and overall supervision of Sh. Injit Pratap Singh, IPS, ACP/Nangloi was constituted. On secret information accused Shiv Prasad @ Kanthi was apprehended near Bus Stand, Hanuman Mandir, main Najafgarh road, Delhi on 04/04/2014 at about 7:00 pm. On sustained interrogation he disclosed committing four house thefts.

INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION

Accused Shiv Parsad @ Kanthi S/o Shivdhari R/o H.No. - 64/65, 12 ½ yards Raghubir Nagar, Delhi disclosed that about 3 ¾ months ago he along with his associates Jai Singh, Mahendrer and Chote Lal met in the park and had stolen Mobile phones from a shop in B block Laxmi Park. He further stated that 2 stolen Mobile phones are with him and remaining are with his associates. He further disclosed that about 4 months ago he along with his associates namely Jai Singh, Mahender and Chotte lal had also stolen Rs. 30000/- cash and golden jewellery, watch, silver coins and mobiles from the area of PS Paschim Vihar. He also disclosed that about 15 days ago he along with his associates had attempted a theft in a shop at Guru Nanak Vihar, Chander vihar.

ILLEGAL LIQUOR SEIZED

The staff of Police Station Nihal Vihar, West District has done a good work by apprehending a woman and recovered 180 quarters of country made illicit liquor ASLI MASALEDAR DESHI SHARAB (for sale in Haryana only) from her possession.

RECOVERIES:

INCIDENT:

On 05.04.2014 at about 2.00 PM Ct. Anil No.2312/W was on patrolling duty in V block Nihal Vihar, Delhi. When he reached near House No. RZV-67, Nihal Vihar, he noticed that one lady was pulling a white colour bag inside her house. On suspicion, he enquired her about the bag but she failed to give satisfactory reply in this regard. The bag was checked and found containing 180 quarters of illicit liquor. The matter was informed to Duty Officer Nihal Vihar and the lady R/o Nihal Vihar was arrested in case FIR No.242/2014 U/s 33 Delhi Excise Act with the help of W/Ct. Yogita No. 2089/W.

INVESTIGATION AND INTERROGATION:

During the course of investigation, the accused disclosed that due to poverty, they were finding difficult to meet her requirement and even bear daily expenditure so she started selling illicit liquor. It was further revealed that she has procured this illicit liquor from Bahadurgarh to sell in Delhi.

 A ROBBERY CASE WORKED OUT, WITH THE ARREST OF 4 ROBBERS.

INCIDENT

On 01/04/2014, one Mr. Deskyong Namgyal presently residing in Green Park, New Delhi reported that on the night of 30-31/03/2014, he had met a girl in a discotheque of a reputed five star hotel and both have exchanged their mobile numbers. On the next day, they spoke to each other and the girl called him to meet in the area of Garhi near Neem Chowk. When he reached near Neem Chowk at about 1:30 AM on 1.4.14 the girl met him and sat in his car and took him near DDA Flats, Garhi. As he got down from his car, suddenly three boys appeared and they forcibly taken away his wrist watch, I- Phone and his ATM Card after assaulting him. In the meantime, the girl disappeared from there and the assailants also absconded from there. Thereafter, injured victim reached his residence and on the next day, he reported the matter to police. On his statement, a case vide FIR No. 245/2014 dated 01.04.2014 u/s 394/34 IPC was registered at PS Amar Colony.

INVESTIGATION

During the course of investigation, a team consisting of SI Sanjay Narwal, SI Bharat Singh, SI Satish Kumar, SI Lalit Kumar and HC Kanwar Singh headed by Inspr. Ramesh Dahiya, SHO/Amar Colony was formed under the close supervision of Shri Shankar Choudhary, ACP/Lajpat Nagar to work out this case. The team worked very hard round the clock and through technical surveillance, established the identity one of the accused namely Sunil Kumar Gupta s/o Ram Rattan, who is a vegetable vendor roaming in the area of Dayanand Colony, Amar colony and Vinoba Puri. The CCTV footage from the ATM from where the amount was withdrawn were taken and the description of the boy captured in the CCTV footage matched with the vegetable vendor. On the basis of secret enquiries made in Garhi area, the idendity of all four accused was established. Following a tip off, accused Sunil Kumar Gupta s/o Kishan Lal Gupta r/o F-64, Gali No. 1, Jaitpur Extention, New Delhi was apprehended alongwith his girlfriend Zoya from the area of Jasola on 06.04.2014. Thereafter, the remaining two accused (1) Sunil Kumar s/o Ram Rattan Gupta r/o K-19, Ratiya Marg, Sangam Vihar, New Delhi and (2) Rinku Sharma s/o Ramesh Sharma r/o Village Barakhurd, PS Kalyan, Distt. Sahajanpur, UP were also arrested from the area of Garhi near ISKCON Temple and all the robbed articles have been recovered from their possession.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED

  1. Sunil Kumar Gupta s/o Kishan Lal Gupta r/o F-64, Gali No. 1, Jaitpur Extention, New Delhi Aged – 23 Years:- He belongs to Badaun, UP and 8th class pass. Presently he is running a own taxi and had come into contact with Zoya through his another girlfriend Pooja. He is a regular visitor to famous discos in Delhi.
  1. Zoya d/o Late. Mohd. Sikender r/o 145, Okhla Hed, Jamia Nagar, Aged – 19 Years :- She is a school drop out (5th class passed) was living in a rented accommodation in the area of Jasola, separately from her parents.
  1. Sunil Kumar s/o Ram Rattan Gupta r/o K-19, Ratiya Marg, Sangam Vihar, Aged – 28 Years:- He belongs to Sahajanpur, UP and married. He is a vegetable vendor and use to sell vegetables on a Rehri.
  1. Rinku Sharma S/o Ramesh Sharma r/o Village Barakhurd, PS Kalyan, Distt. Sahajanpur, UP Aged – 25 Years:- He is illiterate and a Rickshaw puller and use to sleep on his rickshaw. He was lured to join the gang by Sunil who belongs to his village.
