The mission of our garden project is to bring people of all ages together to learn, grow, and nurture our minds, body, and the whole community.

Join us!What do we give you? We usenatural organic, gardening methods in high raised bed gardens. We offerclasses, and lessons about planting, growing, and cooking. We provide a garden bed with natural compost and soil, some plants and seeds, though you are welcome to add to these. We also provide most supplies, storage, tools and lots of learning! You will also receive a membership to the Center Village table, which includes early admission to workshops, and first chance to register for Farm to Fork dinners, and reduced tickets for eligible participants.

What are your responsibilities and commitments?

  • Sign up is from November to December; Drawing for beds is January 6th for 2017. If gardens remain open we will assign them on a first come first serve basis
  • Gardeners must spend at least one hour weekly tending to their garden bed in season.
  • A bed can be maintained or shared by groups. In some cases you may be asked to share a bed.
  • Volunteers can assist with beds with permission from bed assignee. Please notify us so we may help recruit and watch your bed.
  • Gardeners are asked to participate in at least one monthly community workshop sponsored by The Center Village Table, and volunteer to help at least two workshops per year. (for example, make refreshments for seeding workshop or help harvest and clean produce for a cooking show, etc.

General rules:

Produce may be taken home by gardeners, shared with seniors or your family. If you have extra we will use it in workshops or the LCC meal programs. If you would like to contribute your harvest speak with the LCC Director.

Chemical pesticides and fertilizers are prohibited.

Transportation available by prior reservation. 978-733-4076 Classes and events are typically Thursday afternoons, but may vary. You are welcome to visit and tend your bed anytime, but please respect posted garden rules.
