The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is carrying out a project consisting of construction of 12 various types of building or water supply and supply of furniture and equipment.
UNDP invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from potential Contractors who wish to be considered for the provision of one or more of the below mentioned packages:
1Kassala State - Villages and Their Respective Projects
Locality / Villages / Projects / Summary of the work1 / Talkouk / Girgir / Construction of one office, fencing of the police station. Rehabilitation and equipment for a Police station. / 5X7 meter office, constructed by bricks for walls, concrete floor and roofing by concrete slab. 60mX100m Fence to be constructed by bricks. 8 iron doors (Std), 6 iron windows, 3 Iron Tables (1X1.5m) with three drawers, 1 Iron cupboard (1mX0.5mX2m height) with five Shelves two lower ones enclosed with doors, 1 iron filling cabinets of 4 drawers and 12 iron chairs.
2 / West Kassala / Abutalgha / Construction of one office, fencing of the police station. Supply of furniture and equipment to the police station. / 5X7 meter office, constructed by bricks for walls, concrete floor and roofing by concrete slab. 60mX100m Fence to be constructed by bricks. One 8 sits meeting table, (19) office iron chairs, 4 iron filling cabinets of 4 drawers, 4 sofa sets (4 three sitter and 8 one sitter) and 3 Iron Tables (1X1.5m) with three drawers.

This area has 250 families. / Construction of three boreholes, installation of 3 Mark II hand pumps and construction of 1.5mX1.5m water collection concrete base fitted with a drain pipe and a channel. / 3 boreholes of less than 50m hole, 3 Mark II hand pump, and construction of 1.5mX1.5m water collection concrete base fitted with drain pipe and channel.
4 / Rural Kassala / Maria / Construction of one borehole and installation of 2 pumps and two sets of solar power (there is an existing one borehole with malfunctioning engine. / There is need for supply and installation of 2 sets of solar energy (4X1.5m panels, 12units of X3ft batteries and 2converter)
2Gedaref State - Villages and Their Respective Projects
Locality / Villages / Projects / Summary of the work5 / Galabat East / Doka / Construction of women Social Centre. Supply of furniture to the women centre / One house of 9x6m divided into 2 rooms. Fencing by barbed wire and 2 inch angle-line iron and fencing for 80 m length height and a height of 2m. 8 Iron Tables (1X1.5m) with three drawers, 1 Iron cupboard (1mX0.5mX2m height) with five Shelves two lower ones enclosed with doors, and 32 Iron chairs are the equipments to be provided.
6 / Guriesha / Guriesha Town / Construction of accommodation line for police officers to add to existing houses that are not enough. / One house of 12X5m at 320 cm height to rental to be divided into three rooms 4×5 each and a veranda joining to the three rooms measuring 3.5m X8 and one meter wall. 7 / Fashaga / Showak / Provision of water points and construction of septic tank and latrines for Musaab Ibn Omier boys school. / Provision of water pot stands and the water pots (zier). Stand build by bricks against a concrete slab with some shelter. For sewage system, construct of a two section septic tank with hanging beam on one section. Tank size 3mX7mX3m reinforced from bottom and sides because of BC soil and construction of a retention well 3m diameter ×12m. Install of four 0.6X0.6m Man Wholes on the each section of the septic tank and before and after the tank plus three to the toilets. Construction of two latrine room by bricks at 1.5m× 1.5m and 2.80 m high and roofing with corrugated sheet.
8 / Fashaga / Alsofi Albashier / Construction of one classroom, rehabilitation of two classes and construction of latrines in a girls school / Class room 8× 5 m and 320cm high. Bricks are already supplied. Roofing with iron-sheets including timber 4X2 inches – 200m for traces. This includes provision and installation of 5 Window (1.0 ×1.2 m) each and one door 2.2× 1.2 m. Plastering of two classes rooms 8mX5m each.
Construction of pit latrines. The depth of the hole 10 meter (6mX1m for the size of the holes). The superstructure to built from Red Brick and Cement with concrete floor slab (wood poles, iron bars and wire-mesh)

and Olaib / Saloom (the area combines 4 villages) / Completion of water pipeline connection / 500 meter of polythene/plastic high pressure pipes, digging, connecting and laying work.
10 / Agig / Agig / Construction of a women center and provision of equipments / Dimensions 9*6 meter. Made from bricks. The structure has a concrete floor. Roofing will be done with concrete slab. 10 Tables (1X1.5m) with three drawers, 1 Iron cupboard (1mX0.5mX2m height) with five Shelves two lower ones enclosed with doors, and 40 iron chairs are the equipments to be provided.
11 / Doordeeb / Warareef / Construction of women center and provision of equipment to the center. / The dimensions for each are 9*6 meter bricks construction for wall and concrete construction for roof and floor. 10 Tables (1X1.5m) with three drawers, 1 Iron cupboard (1mX0.5mX2m height) with five Shelves two lower ones enclosed with doors, and 40 iron chairs are the equipments to be provided.
12 / Halayeb / Eisse / Construction and equipment for women center / Dimensions 9*6 meter wooden building for walls and roofing. The building will have concrete floor. Equipments are 8 Tables (1X1.5m) with three drawers. There will also be 30 small plastic chairs and 10 Benches with iron frame - 2m length *0.5m width and 0.5m height
EoI submissions will be checked for completeness and will be evaluated. Details of the evaluation criteria are listed herebelow.

Interested applicants must provide the company profile covering; yet not limited to the following documents:
1. Legal registration of the company in home country.
2. Projects reference list.
3. Other relevant supporting documents (Ref. the short-listing criteria above)
UNDP shall shortlist the top ranked firms for invitation to submit bids and applications with incomplete documents shall be disregarded.
