Aim High Academy of Martial Arts is having our 8thannual Kick-a-Thon event. This is one of our biggest fundraisers, last year our students raised just under$7000.Our goal this year is to increase last year’s amount with the money raised going towardserving the community,continue updating equipment, our scholarship fund (for students unable to pay full tuition) and to help cover operation expenses. If you wish to make a credit card donation you have three choices for providing credit card information to Aim High. For flat donations only you can go to the Aim High Academy of Martial Arts secure online donation centerat . For all other you can call Aim High Academy at (503) 640-8628, or stop by our front desk.

All donations must be processed by June 4, 2016. We will be giving away incredible prizes to thosein each age group with top donations and top amount of sponsors! Also top kickers in each age group will get a prize.Flat rate cash and check contributions should be collected at the time of the pledge and will be turnedinto Aim High Academy on or before the date of the Kick-A-Thon.

CHECK IN/KICK TIMES

oChildren Ages 4-7 CHECK IN at 12:45pm and will kick from 1:15pm – 1:45pm

oYouth Ages 8 – 12 CHECK IN at 1:30pm and will kick from 2:00pm – 2:45pm

oAdults Ages 13+ AND ALL Poom and Black Belts CHECK IN at 11:30am and will kick from 12:00pm- 1:00pm

  • If you have a child with sensory issues please sign up for our sensory night Friday June 3rd at 7pm. There will be no music, dimmed lighting, and a limited number of participants allowed in this session so all can join in this fun event. Please register at the front desk or online. Type “sensory night” under program.

We hope that each family will participate in the kick-a-thon to the best of its ability. If 200 students raises $50.00, we will achieve our goal! We’re hoping to make this kick-a-thon the best ever, so the more sponsored participants; the more successful we’ll be at achieving our goal. Every pre-registered participant will receive a special edition Kick-a-Thon T-shirt. Participation is welcome without pre-registration, but T-shirts cannot be guaranteed without registering by May, 26, 2016. You can pre-register at the front desk. Rules

1.Students may start collecting pledges as soon as they receive the pledge sheets. Reminder: Pledge sheets need to be turned inby June 4, 2016. Donations should be collected before the event and turned in with participants pledge sheet by June 4, 2016.

2.Pledges may be made by anyone. Consider asking neighbors, friends, grandparents, aunts and uncles and co-workers. However, participants may not ask for pledges from any of the staff members of Aim High Academy of Martial Arts.

3.Students should collect flat rate cash and check pledges in advance. Flat rate credit card donations can be made online at sponsors can call Aim High at (503) 640-8628 to provide credit card information or can visit the Aim High front desk.All donations due June 4, 2016.

4.On kick-a-thon day, each student will kick during a specified time period on one of the floor mats. Prizes for most kicks performed will be awarded at the end of each age group session with top donation amount and top number of donors also awarded at the end of the age group session.Students must have turned in a pledge sheet on or by June 4, 2016 to be awarded any prize including top kicker. This is not just about most kicks, but a fundraiser to support our school. Even one pledge from family helps our school.

5.Upon completion of the kick-a-thon, students will hand in their kick tag. They will then receive their tshirt if they were pre-registered. Other shirts may be available to purchase.

6.Participants are encouraged to wear their uniform or workout attire. If preregistered shirts will be given out after kicking is done.

Prizes

Each student who pre-registers by May 26thfor the Kick-a-Thon will receive a Kick-A-Thon T-shirt. T-shirts may be available for non-registered participants but cannot be guaranteed.Prizes will be awarded for most kicks performed after each event time for kickers with pledge sheets.The 2 separateGRAND PRIZESfor most donation amount and most donors will also be awarded at the end of each age groups session.
