Paige McKenner, Intermediate Team Achievement Award: VCAL means that I have a second chance at schooling because I remember I didn’t enjoy school at all and I wasn’t really very good at it, if that makes sense. So when I started VCAL it helped me with my learning and now I enjoy school and I actually spend basically every single day at school. Even when I’m not supposed to be there, but I’m still there.

Abdullahi Ali, Intermediate Team Achievement Award: VCAL means a lot to me. I feel like it’s the right environment for me to learn and finish my studies. I’m actually in Senior VCAL right now. So I would like to finish my Senior VCAL and after that I would like to do a TAFE course and go to uni and do further study.

Hannah Stewart, Student Achievement Award – Foundation Personal Development Skills: I’m currently doing Cert IV in Fashion Design and Textiles. I’m hoping after this year to go into child support and go back to my school’s junior school to help out.

KaylahFloreani, Intermediate Team Achievement Award: I’m now completing my Senior VCAL and once I get my Year 12 certificate I’m doing a Tertiary Prep Diploma

Matthew Iozzi, Intermediate Team Achievement Award: It’ll help me get a job in the future and it’ll give me many opportunities.

Alexander Dietzel, Student Achievement Award – Senior Personal Development Skills: It’s a program for student who want the hands-on option.

Chelsea Chatfield, Koori Student Achievement Award: It’s just a different way of learning for everyone in VCAL and you get to do everything you want to and there’s no boundaries.

Narelle Bean, VCAL Teacher of the Year Award: VCAL is a program that engages and retains students and allows us as teachers to make great relationships with them and their families and enables them to be ready for the workplace.

Ric Thorpe, VCAL Teacher: My students, I’ve just loved seeing them thrive in a practical environment where learning makes sense to them. Love VCAL, great supporter. It’s awesome.
