  1. Appropriation #2 – That the Associated Students approve an amount not to exceed $2130.00 to fund the Society of Physics attendance and supplies at the Vex Competition. M/S Beverly Yan/Ronnie Escoto

Amendment: Beverly Yan/Ronnie Escoto. Motion to change the $500.00 amount to $300.00 for the Vex supplies. Vote: Unanimous

Amendment: Beverly Yan/Emma Barravino. Motion to take out competition field kit for $230.00. Vote: 13/2/0. Jin Uh and Chris Shen against.

Amendment: Beverly Yan/Ronnie Escoto. Remove the $300.00 shirt line item. Vote: 12/2/1. Sara Bunthon and Margareth Widjaja against, Johnny Montiel abstains.

Total is $1400.00. $200 registration. $100 entry fees. $800 outreach supplies and $300 Nothing But Vex Supplies.

  1. Appropriation #4 – That the Associated Students approve an amount not to exceed $11,985.00 to fund the AFM Club to attend the IMA Student Leadership Conference in Florida. M/S Aysha Haq/Ronnie Escoto

Beverly motions to change amount to $9,000.00. Emma seconds

Friendly amendment: Ronnie Escoto/Beverly Yan. Motion to change the amount to $9250.00. Vote: 9/5/0. Michael Woo, Margareth Widjaja, Aneca Nuyda, Gizelle Velasquez and Johnny Montiel against.

  1. Appropriation #3 – That the Associated Students approve an amount not to exceed $2000.00 to fund the Circle K attendance at the Fall Conference.

Beverly Yan moves to table this discussion due to lack of time. Ronnie Escoto seconds. Vote: 11/3/0

VIII. REPORTS

A.S. Advisor – Congratulations to all new senators. The Fall conference attendees selected will be notified this week.

A.S. Secretary - Leslie suggested to senators that during funding requests they ask if the group is receiving funding from any other source. Leslie handed out a list of appropriations that were funded last year as a reference. Our office will be closed tomorrow for the lost and found auction.

A.S. President –Rene Jimenez said that he has 218 surveys for the wifi, needs 1000. He recently attended the PAC meeting.

A.S. Vice President – Alumni Day is November 6.

Student Trustee – Betty Santos is meeting with many of the trustees.

ICC Report –October 5th is the next meeting. There were 116 at the Club Advisor meeting yesterday. There may be an Advisor only mixer soon.

College Committees –None
