Using Annotations in AppXtender 8 Web

This functionality is only provided to those individuals with INDEX capabilities. If you need this capability but do not have it, you need to contact the Security Admin for your specific application.

Steps:

1.  Open document in AppXtender (http://axappprd00/AppXtender)

2.  Open the desired document.

3.  The annotation toolbar will appear above the opened document.

4.  If you move your mouse over the icon, a text box will appear that tells you the function of the icon. Examples shown below:

5.  To place a TEXT annotation on the document, you simply click the TEXT icon.

6.  Drag the mouse down to the document and the mouse turns to a plus (+) sign. Click on the document where you want the text box to appear. A window pops up where you will enter the text value. There you can change the font size and whether to bold or italic, etc. When done entering text, just click the OK button.

7.  To place a rubberstamp on the document, first click the Rubber Stamp icon. A Rubber Stamp list will appear where you will click on the desired stamp message. Then click OK.

8.  The mouse will turn to a plus (+) sign when you drag it onto the document. Left click on the mouse button to place the rubber stamp on the document.

9.  Now, you need to click the SAVE icon to save the rubber stamp on the document.

10.  Otherwise, when you go back to the query search, you will receive a message box like the following where you will have to click OK to ignore the changes or CANCEL to remain on the page so you can then proceed to SAVE the document.

REDACTIONS:

1.  To place a redaction on some text located on the document, you first need to click the redaction icon.

2.  Next, click on the Rectangle icon or use the drop-down to select a better shape that works best to cover the desired text located on the document that you want to redact.

3.  Then click the Fill icon to select the color to make the redaction so the text is not readable.

4.  Click on the Line icon to choose a color that matches the Fill color choosen.

5.  Your mouse will turn to a plus (+) sign. Then proceed to the text you want to redact and draw the shape around the text to be redacted.
