Art in the Park 2016 Artist Application

Labor Day Weekend 2016 - September 3 and September 4, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm located at Gallup Park, Port Austin, MI

Art in the Park is a Juried Show. Cash Prizes will be awarded.

1. Early Bird deadline for registration: March 1, 2016 includes $10 discount.

2. Deadline for standard registration: June 1, 2016

3. No refunds after June 15, 2016.

4. Three quality JPEG files representing each medium must be submitted with application for all first time applicants. Returning artists must register, but work will not be juried if comparable to previous year.

5. Please send jpg files to: . Your registration will not be considered until your check and application for space are received by TAG, PO Box 538, Port Austin, MI 48467.

6. Original hand crafted work only, no bazaar items, commercial molds, kits or reproductions. Work must be by the artist registering and artist MUST be present. Art fair committee has the right to ask artists to remove pieces from their booth if criteria are not met. Artist may also be asked to leave show if work is different from, or if the quality is not the same as represented in their registration.

7. Booth spaces are 10’ x 10’. No table or chairs are provided. Members Tent** - TAG members share a 10’ x 20’ tent. The space will be divided among members and they will be asked to volunteer hours manning the exhibit.

8. Exhibiting artists must be 18 years or older, or accompanied by parent or guardian.

Setup: Friday, Sep. 2 after 1 pm or Saturday prior to 10:00 am. You MUST be set up by 10:00am. Overnight security will be provided at the site, however, exhibits left overnight are at your own risk. No early break down of tents Sunday Sept 4. Internet connectivity will be slow to process credit card sales, please also be prepared for the possibility of NO Internet connection. Note that, due to the Saturday Farmers Market hours of 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, customers will be in the park before our 10:00 am start.

Donations of artwork are requested for the Silent Auction, Sept. 2. The Auction is a preview of artists in the event as well as TAG members with monies raised going to support TAG projects. Artwork can be dropped off before 5pm at the Welcome Tent during setup.

Artist Agreement: I agree that the Thumb Arts Guild shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to art work or personal property or persons. I understand that if my exhibit does not conform to the above guidelines, I may lose my space and fees. I agree to allow any photographs taken to be use by TAG for promotional purposes only.
