KCC 12U Summer Volleyball Tournament
Location: Kittson Central School Hallock, MN ----12U will play in the high school gym.
Date: Thursday, June 26 Time: 9:00 a.m. (Gym doors will open at apx. 8:15.)
Matches: Pool play = 2 sets to 21 with rally scoring (23 point cap)
Tournament play = best 2 of 3 sets to 21 with rally scoring (no cap). Third game to 15 (no cap). MSHSL rules (except for the score to 21 ;-)
Warm-up: First match warm-up will be 10 minutes (4-4-2).
Subsequent matches will do 5 minute warm-ups (2-2-1)
Please tell your players to only warm up in the gyms.
**Locker rooms will be available, but please keep valuables with you.
**We provide officials, book, & clock. Please allow them to do their best!
**You must provide your own line judge when you are playing.
**In the high school gym, the scoreboard will be the scoreboard across the gym so that players and coaches can see the score from their bench. In the elementary gym, the scoreboard will be on the same side as the court you are playing on.
**Bring your own warm-up balls.
**Turn your waiver in to the ref at your first match. (No coaches meeting.)
**Ball in your court = replay!
**Yummy concessions available!
**Gold division winners will receive CHAMPIONS t-shirts. In the silver division, medals will be awarded for 1st place.

Tournament Play: The top four teams will be seeded into a gold division, while teams seeded 5-8 will play off in the silver division, followed by teams seeded 9-12 who will play in the bronze division. Seeding will be determined by:
1. Pool play record 2. Head-to-head record 3. Total Plus Points 4. Coin toss
(In the event of a tie across pools, we will skip #2 and go straight to total plus points.)
Since this is the last tournament of the season, we feel it is appropriate to enforce that players serve from a somewhat moved-up line, but not from in front of that line. The back part of the thick red line will serve as the serving line. Don’t step into the red.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the KCC Summer JO tournament, the undersigned acknowledges and agrees that the risk of injury from activities engaged in at the Kittson Central facilities are significant and that participatioin can cause potential death, serious injury, or property damage. The participant knowlingly and freely assumes all such risks.
In the event of illness or injury while competing at Kittson Central for the volleyball tournament, I hereby authorize any emergency first aid. I also give my permission for attending medical personal to act on my behalf if I am not immediately available to do so. This includes the cost for transportation to an emergency medical facility.
I hereby take the following action by myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns: a) I waive, release, and discharge from any and all claims or liabilities for death or personal injury or damages of any kind, which arise out of or relate to my traveling to and from or my participation in any volleyball event, the following persons or entities: KCC Junior Olympic Program and its associations, tournament director, Kittson Central school district, sponsors, and the officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents of any of the above; b) I agree not to sue any of the persons or entities listed above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released, or discharged herein; and c) I indemnify and hold harmless the persons or entities mentioned above from any claims made or liabilities assessed against them as a result of my actions.
