YOUR 2017 ACCOMMODATION PACKAGE AT THE CLARK KERR CAMPUS

2601 Warring Street, Berkeley, CA 94720

510-642-6290

At first glance, the Clark Kerr Campus (CKC) seems more like a serene, early California mission than a popular University conference center in the midst of Berkeley. This lovely site was first developed in 1865, and it has been a distinctive part of Berkeley’s landscape ever since. The existing complex, constructed from the 1920’s through the 1950’s, reflects the Spanish Colonial Revival style of California architecture that developed during that period. Soft, earthtone colors appear everywhere – from the graceful, tile roofs to the terra cotta walkways. Enclosed courtyards, spacious lawns, and patios create a feeling of privacy and solitude. And because the campus is built on 50 acres that join the hills, it offers some glorious sunsets and great views of the San Francisco Bay. Guests can take advantage of the pleasant surroundings, and also enjoy the convenience of being only four blocks from the central Berkeley campus, within walking distance of Telegraph Avenue, and 45 minutes from San Francisco and 30 minutes from Oakland.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Your Fellowship or OPEN Registration package includes occupancy for four nights: June 5–9. The Clark Kerr Campus is a college dormitory where the rooms are considered “suites” not typical residence halls. Each suite has two or three separate bedrooms and one bathroom, sometimes a living room and partial kitchen. Most bedrooms have one or two single beds. All individuals in a suite share a bathroom.

DINING SERVICES

Your package includes three breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners at the CKC. Most meals are served buffet style. The breakfast menus offer all the traditional favorites, along with selections of pastries, fresh fruit, and beverages. Hot entrees, vegetarian items, deli selections, and dessert are available at lunch and dinner. A salad bar featuring seasonal vegetables, greens, and toppings is also offered at most meals.
