* FYI – Saturday, September 8, 2:00 p.m. Chapel – Patsy Burcham memorial service.

* Request by Grant Metcalf to have a wedding reception in the Fellowship Hall in the evening on Saturday,

on-site Friday, September 6. Alan is officiating. Approved.

* AMP leadership meeting Saturday, October 13, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, Sanctuary & chapel requested,

hospitality needed: light snacks and coffee/water. Kerygma is listed on calendar for Saturday but no room determined. Otherwise, calendar is clear. Tabled.

* Friday, October 12 - Sharing the Light Board Meeting, 9 am – noon, Room 227 requested. Approved.

* Kerygma Pastors lunch Friday, October 12, noon - ?, Fellowship Hall requested. Approved.

* Kerygma seminars, Friday, October 12, following lunch, break-out rooms requested (number of rooms not yet

determined). Room 227 is reserved for an NA meeting at 7:00 p.m. Tabled.

* Grace Josey - Request to reserve room 227 from 12 noon until 4 pm on Saturday, September 8 for lunch and

small group ministry time with Ministry Leadership Team and David & Marilyn Samuels of RTF. The RTF Seminar for LIFE Ministers is being held that morning. Approved.

from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Approved.

* Student Ministries requests a space for Pat Garner to do tutoring on Wednesday night from 5:30-6:30 –

* Bus requested for September 15 for a Hillsong concert for the youth – Chris Dolon. Approved.

3. Space request from outside/for-profit organization TABLED

Cami Fife the leader of Singers Company is requesting use of space on Mondays 3-6pm from Sept.- June. The group consists of Kindergarten through Fifth grade girls. The group is open to all girls in the community. They do charge a fee. They just need space for a maximum of 20 girls to sing and dance to recorded music and access to a restroom.

4. Mickey - Harper House freezer contents

Some items in the freezer have been there for quite some time; if no one claims them they will be disposed.

5. Baptisms at the September Community Celebration

An announcement will be included in Sunday’s bulletin asking people to contact Lori Haupt if they are interested in being baptized.

6. Adding staff emails to Reynolda website

Email addresses are not listed on the website because of the amount of Spam that was received when previously listed. Michael Euliss will talk with Kelly Barrett about some options for making Email addresses available.

7. Requesting approval of Dorcas Kershaw to lead a women’s Bible study and small group class this fall, Wednesday evenings at Building U. Dorcas was unanimously approved.

8. Use of the Johnston building on Sunday mornings at 9:30

Mid-sized classroom space is needed on Sunday mornings for two groups: Discoveries and Brandon Williams’ new class. On Sept. 2, Chris Dolon will move some of his current activities to smaller classrooms, and Brandon’s class will meet in the Center Room. Discoveries will meet in 210-212. If it turns out that both are ”mid-sized,” this arrangement will continue. If one or both turn out to be “small” groups, one will go to 210 and the other will be in 211-212.

9. Women Ministry’s Handout

Permission was given for ladies to hand out information on September 9.

10. Fall Festival, October 31. Possibly a “trunk or treat” with themes for cars. TABLED

11. Food Bank

Maple Springs Methodist has a food bank but is in danger of closing because of lack of food donations.

Outreach Committee will discuss putting boxes out to collect food donations. Michael Euliss will be in charge of taking food to Maple Springs.

12. Fair Trade coffee

Fair Trade coffee refers to the purchasing of coffee from the growers with better conditions for workers at a higher price than standard coffee. We use this brand of coffee in our coffee house. Chris will create a postcard to be available in the coffee house to make people aware of this organization.

13. Huddle Date and Details

“The Huddle” is a new men’s mentoring ministry for men 18-38, led by Barrett Johnson. They will meet on the 2nd Monday night of each month beginning September 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

14. Zach and Jessica Sink were approved to lead a home group. They’ll be using a Philippians study by Matt Chandler (Village Church). For information only – others in the group will be Matt & Karen McCarn, Matthew & Diana Roberson, Caleb & Erin Hudspeth.

15. Bruce - Also for information only – Jonathan & Erica Key (previously approved leaders) will be leading a closed small group on Wednesday evenings at the church. Will use a John & Staci Eldredge study, Love & War. Others in the group will be Jon & Donna Wright, Stephen & Maria Simpson, Jason & Rebecca Ramsey, and Brian and Angela Hunt. Room 223. This group will begin on September 12.
