JOB DESCRIPTION

POST TITLE: Storeman Driver

LOCATION: 71a Willow Road

DEPARTMENT: Bournville Propertycare Services

RESPONSIBLE TO: Support Services Manager

JOB CONTEXT:

A)To provide stores and delivery services to BPS in Birmingham and Telford and to comply with relevant Policies and Procedures

B)To support the Support Services Manager to ensure the effective delivery of all aspects of Stores Service and Material Delivery in relation to the BPS service provision

C)To provide a range of administrative and support duties.

D)To accurately maintain, update and add information on predesigned software in relation to stores and purchasing

E)To promote and maintain a culture which places customers first and aims to deliver a high standard of service.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1)To issue materials in accordance with job tickets.

2)To carry out regular stock takes and ensure stock levels are maintained above minimum prescribed levels

3)To drive a light commercial vehicle to load, deliver and collect materials from site and/or suppliers and to remove waste from site when required

4)To carry out vehicle checks tire condition and pressure, oil and water levels, and add fluids as necessary

5)To check, receive goods, check delivery/goods received notes, and book into stores and restock. Where necessary using a fork lift truck or other mechanical material handling equipment.

6)To monitor and restock impress van stocks as required

7)To check, monitor and record the use of loan tools from stores

8)To check, maintain and replace yard skips as required

9)To keep the Support Services Manager aware of stock related issues and to advise on stock requirements

10)To cut keys as required using key cutting equipment.

11)To follow guidance and be aware of Health and Safety requirements in particular Manual Handling, COSHH, Risk Assessments and Safe Working Methods

External:Suppliers and External Contractors.
