Appendix Materials should also be reviewed and updated.The recommended length of this document is three to five pages. Hyperlinks have been included to provide additional explanations for each section.
  1. Assessment of Program Learning Outcomes
If you are assessing student achievement of one or more of your program learning outcomes this year, clearly indicate which PLO(s) the program plans to measure and include the question(s) the assessment will be exploring.
Assessment Methods
For each PLO being measured, briefly describe how students demonstrate their achievement of this learning outcome (e.g. courses, papers, projects) and then provide a description of the assessment methods used for this assessment.
Analysis of Results
Provide a clear, concise summary and presentation of data for the analysis of the results including how the assessment data was discussed and what conclusions were made regarding action steps.
Use of Assessment Results for Program Improvement
Briefly describe the strategies for program improvement based on the results, including modifications to curriculum and pedagogy. Discuss recommendations for any changes to the PLOs, assessment methods, timelines, or reporting protocol. Have the assessment results been memorialized and communicated to the faculty as a whole?
  1. Evaluation of Program Assessment Components (or Cycle)
If you did not assess one of your PLOs this year, but were engaged in another type of assessment project, please describe the nature and focus of the project. For example, programs in the midst of a self-study may want to synthesize the results of their prior assessments. Again, include the questions the program was exploring.

  2. Comprehensive Assessment Plan: This CSUtemplate helps programs develop their long-term assessment plan. Please create (or update) the long-term plan in your OneDrive folder.
  3. Curriculum Map: This map illustrates where in the curriculum the program learning outcomes are introduced, developed and mastered. Please create (or update) the map in your OneDrive folder.
