BURTON TOWNSHIP REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
Supervisor Jones called the regular monthly meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in the Village Hall, Spring Grove, IL.
Roll call present: Supervisor Jones, Clerk Shetsky, Road Commissioner Sutton, Trustees; Eileen Miller, Merrilee Anhalt, John Flood, Dennis Riechert and Assessor Jessica Hubert.
Guest: Ted Trzaskowski, Jim Walz & Drew Knobloch
Supervisor Jones led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on January 10, 2017 were read. Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Trustee Eileen Miller. The accounts payable were presented for payment for the various funds, they were audited, initialed and ordered paid.

Supervisors Report
· Burton Township received a request to help sponsor the Youth Recreation Program again this year.
· Trustee Dennis Riechert made a motion to donate $2,000.00 for the Spring Grove Village Youth Recreation program and was seconded by Trustee Merrilee Anhalt. Voice vote, all ayes, motion carried.
· Trustee John Flood made a motion to donate $250.00 to the McHenry Historical Society and was seconded by Trustee Eileen Miller. Voice vote, all ayes, motion carried.
· The Annual Topics day will be held on April 26, 2017 in Springfield, IL. The Township will pay the admittance fee of $75.00 if anyone would like to attend.
· Sam spoke to Roger Naylor, from the Supervisors Group, regarding the lack of cooperation between the County Clerk’s office and our Assessor’s needs. He is going to make a request so he can see for himself how the new process works.
Road Commissioners Report
· The 450 Truck has a new oil pan and is all repaired.
· The Road commissioner will be using the MFP funds to repave North Shore, Muriel and Ravinia roads. The County will be contracted to do the work. Other roads will be repaved as the budget allows.
· There is plenty of salt in stock.
Assessors Report:
· Phone inquiries: 6 from homeowners, appraisers and realtors.
· Email inquiries: 21 from appraisers.
· The website crashed. The company host deleted the assessor account due to lack of activity. She must log in as the administrator at least once a month to keep the account active. Burton Township was not the only website that was deleted. Once the account is made active again, Jessica will be sure to log on as required.
· Jessica will submit the assessments early in 2017. She will only be making changes to the Red Oak subdivision being that half of the area was lowered due to one sale.
· There are a few buildings to be drawn, loaded and a value added. Jessica will work on these in early spring when the ground isn’t too wet.
· The home on Hunters Lane with the damage due to a fire will get a reduced assessment until the house is repaired.
Clerks Report:
· The Economic Interest Forms cannot be completed online yet. There is a message on the website stating they can be filed after February 15, 2017. April will check it again and advise the board when they can file.
Trustees Report:
· Trustee Merrilee has not heard of any meetings with the Senior Transportation group.
She will check back with them after the upcoming election.

A motion was made by Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt to adjourn the meeting at 7:18, it was seconded by Trustee: Eileen Miller, voice vote all ayes, motion carried.
