IMPACT:
Additional staffing for maths have allowed for smaller class sizes, targeted foundation group, 1:1 class time, double staffing, and intervention groups. This additional staffing allows students to develop even better relationships with their class teacher and to access specific help and support, giving them the tools they need to progress.
  • Year 10 Intervention – All students working towards GCSE Targets with Mock -8 Students in total.
  • Enabled Student Y to access a WAVE 3 Maths Number
  • Teachers even more confident in delivering specific & effective intervention in class
  • Positive change in attitudes towards maths through use of Numeracy Ninjas during Tutor Time
  • 100% of students receiving catch up support made progress toward their end of KS3 Targets

ACTION;
To enable targeted withdrawal groups to support students who require further intervention with developing their numeracy skills
To support the provision of trips / external visitors for the targeted students in order to maximise rates of progress e.g. through increasing engagement with learning
To allow the library to purchase extra resources which will be carefully selected to help to engage students in maths
The impact of the strategies put into place through Catch-Up premium funding will be monitored, and progress and attainment of eligible students tracked throughout their school careers with regular reports to the SLT.
