Transportation
The Atlanta taxis have a flat rate from the airport to downtown of $25. MARTA is $1.75. The nearest MARTA station (Civic Center) is about a half of a mile and the other one (Peachtree Center) is about 0.7 miles.
MARTA has a station conveniently located in the west end of the airport terminal. During light traffic, a taxi might be 5 or 10 minutes faster, but the advantage will swing to MARTA as traffic congestion increases. Of course, the taxi would take you directly to your hotel.
The Peachtree Center MARTA station is convenient to the hotels. Depending on which hotel, weather, and personal preference, it is within walking distance of the hotels listed. Also, because it exits on to Peachtree Street, taxis are continually passing by it.
