Unit Statement: The student will talk about his/her activities and time. The student will identify and conjugate selected action verbs and talk about his/her day.

Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery)

  1. The Student Will memorize the vocabulary related to the topic.
  1. TSW answer the question “Который час?”
  1. TSW memorize the conjugation of the verbs “завтракать”, “обедать”, “ужинать” in Present tense.
  1. TSW identify vocabulary of parts of the day (утром, днём, вечером, ночью)

5.  TSW answer the questions “Что ты вчера делал/делала?” and “Что ты завтра будешь делать?”

  1. TSW tell about his/her day

Introduced/Practice Outcomes: (See Course Outcomes)

1.  The Student Will practice telling the time.

2.  TSW practice using verbs in Present, Past and Future tenses (гулять, идти, играть, учить, делать, ходить, отдыхать, кушать, читать, and etc.)

3.  TSW review personal and possessive pronouns.

4.  TSW write a list of words related to the topic.

5.  TSW practice speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.

6.  TSW develop listening and speaking skills through daily speaking routine (dialogues among students and teacher, and also peer conversations)

Suggested Assessment Tools and Strategies:

Play the game restaurant

Field trip to the shop/market

Practice using names of the colors in the game “Go fish”

Games for memorizing the vocabulary (for example - “Pechatnaya mashinka” see the attachment).

Cartoons on different topics (please refer to Youtube)

Develop “Word Wall” based on student vocabulary acquisition (please refer to the Internet)

The student will respond to daily oral classroom instruction/commands

Comprehension and language skills can be assessed by playing games related to the essential outcomes.
