Recording of stock and pharmacy levels

- RTC 5S in treatment room.
- Standard Operating procedures.
- Audit Planner

Ordering of stores/supplies according to agreed levels. Equipment in its place and ready for use

Ward environment monitored for quality and timing using daily/weekly/monthly audit schedule

- Savings of £5000 on stock
- 100% compliance with daily audit planner

Patient experience being captured by SCN
What are the staff benefits?
Staff spend less time using equipment as it is ready for use each time. Pride taken in the ward environment, “it looks like a hospital”

Compliance with HEI inspection
How did staff feel before the improvement/during the improvement and after the improvement?
Staff keen to make the fabric of the environment better. Took ownership of the process and have taken pride in their work to date
What are the lessons learnt and what would you do differently next time?
Ensure the team have good understanding of what you are trying to achieve, if not it can end up being a “good tidy up” with no change in practice or sustainability. We have seen this on other wards.
