Applicant must be a dependent of a BEEC member. BEEC membership will be verified before application is accepted. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from a public or private institution planning to attend college or an accredited technical school. Scholarship application must be completed in full and returned by the due date or the application will not be accepted. All information provided will be verified by the BEEC scholarship committee and is kept strictly confidential.

The scholarship award is $1,000. The scholarship can be received in combination with any other scholarship received. If awarded a scholarship, the recipient must provide proper documentation of registration to the BEEC secretary and complete information on where to send the scholarship award. Scholarship award winners will be presented a certificate at an awards ceremony at the ExxonMobil Day Picnic and must be present at the event for a photo session.

Required criteria for the scholarship include but are not limited to:

1) Overall academic average of "B" - include a copy of student's high school transcript

2) ACT and/or SAT scores, unless attending a technical or community college

3) Two written character references from non-family members

4) Documentation of any activities, clubs, community and/or volunteer

service plus any honors received

5) List of any employment experience

6) A one-page typed essay answering questions provided pertaining to the student's education and career goals.

7) Student must be able to attend ExxonMobil Day on Saturday, May 7th at Pasadena Convention Center to receive the award. Scholarships will be awarded at 10:00 a.m.
