Dorothy: Toto, Ihave a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore! We must be over the rainbow!
Now I - I know we're not in Kansas!
Glinda: Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?
Dorothy: Who, me! I - I'm not a witch at all. I'm Dorothy Gale, from Kansas.
Glinda: Oh! Well, is that the Witch?
Dorothy: Who, Toto? Toto's my dog.
Glinda: Well, I'm a little muddled. The Munchkins called me because a new witch has just dropped a house on the Wicked Witch of the East. And there's the house, and here you are, and that's all that's left of the Wicked Witch of the East. And so, what the Munchkins want to know is - are you a good witch or a bad witch?
Dorothy: But I've already told you, I'm not a witch at all. Witches are old and ugly. What was that?
Glinda: The Munchkins. They're laughing because Iam a witch. I'm Glinda, the Witch of the North.
Dorothy: You are! I beg your pardon! But I've never heard of a beautiful witch before.
Glinda: Only bad witches are ugly.The Munchkins are happy because you have freed them from the Wicked Witch of the East.
Dorothy: Oh. But - if you please, what are Munchkins?
Glinda: The little people who live in this land. It's Munchkinland, and you are their national heroine, my dear.
It's all right - you may all come out and thank her.
Munchkins: Come out, come out, wherever you are and meet the young lady, who fell from a star.
She fell from the sky, she fell very far and Kansas, she says, is the name of the star.
She brings you good news. Or haven't you heard? When she fell out of Kansas a miracle occurred.
It really was no miracle. What happened was just this.
The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly it landed on the Wicked Witch
in the middle of a ditch, which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch who began to twitch and was reduced to a stitch of what was once the Wicked Witch.
Munchkin #1:We thank you very sweetly, for doing it so neatly.
Munchkin #2: You've killed her so completely, that we thank you very sweetly.
Glinda: Your house killed the wicked witch of the East. These magic shoes are for you (Glinda takes the shoes from the witch. Dorothy wears the shoes)
Wicked Witch: Who killed my sister? Who killed the Witch of the East? Was it you?......
Dorothy: Oh, thank you. But I want to go home! Please, help me!
Glinda: Go to the city of Emerald! The Wizard of Oz will help you! Just follow the yellow brick road!

Dorothy: (to the Scarecrow) Oh hello! Who are you?
Scarecrow: I’m a Scarecrow! What’s your name?
Dorothy: My name’s Dorothy and I’m lost. Why are you so sad?
Scarecrow: I’m sad because I haven’t got a brain!
Dorothy: Well, what would you do with a brain if you had one?
Scarecrow: Do? Why, if Ihad a brain, I could - I could think of things Inever thought before.
I would not be just a nothin' my head all full of stuffin' My heart all full of pain.
I would dance and be merry, life would be a ding-a-derry, If Ionly had a brain.
Dorothy: Oh, poor scarecrow! I am going to the Wizard of Oz.
We can ask the Wizard to help you. Maybe he can give you a brain!
Scarecrow: Ok, thank you Dorothy!

Dorothy: We've been walking a long way, and Iwas hungry and - did you say- something?
First Tree: Well, how would you like to have someone come along and pick something off of you?
Dorothy: Oh dear!Ikeep forgetting I'm not in Kansas.
Scarecrow: Come along, Dorothy - you don't want any of those apples. Hmm!

Dorothy: (to the Tin Man) Hello! Who are you?
Tin Man: I’m a Tin Man! What’s your name?
Dorothy: My name’s Dorothy and this is the Scarecrow. Why are you so sad?
Tin Man: I’m sad because I haven’t got a heart!
Dorothy:What would you do with a heart?
Tin Man:If Ionly had a heart. I'd be tender - I'd be gentle and awful sentimental
Regarding Love and Art. I'd be friends with the sparrows ... and the boys who shoots the arrows

Dorothy: No, but you tried to. It's bad enough picking on a straw man, but when you go around picking on poor little dogs.
Lion: Well, you didn't have to go and hit me, did you? Is my nose bleedin'?
Dorothy: Well, of course not. My goodness, what a fuss you're making!
Well, naturally when you go around picking on things weaker than you are - why, you're nothing but a great bigcoward!
Lion: You're right, I am a coward! I haven't any courage at all. Ieven scare myself. Look at the circles under my eyes.
Ihaven't slept in weeks.
Tin Man: Why don't you try counting sheep?
Lion: That doesn't do any good - I'm afraid of them.
Scarecrow: Oh, that's too bad. Don't you think the Wizard could help him, too?
Dorothy: I don't see why not. Why don't you come along with us? We're on our way to see the Wizard now. To get him aheart.
Tin Man: And him a brain.
Dorothy: I'm sure he could give you some courage.
Lion: Gee, that - that's awfully nice of you. My life has been simply unbearable.
Dorothy: Oh, well, it's all right now. The Wizard will fix everything.
Lion: Yeh, it's sad, believe me, Missy, When you're born to be a sissy without the vim and verve. But Icould show my prowess, be a lion not a mou-ess. If I only had the nerve.

Scarecrow: I want a brain!
Tin Man: I want a heart!
Lion: And I want courage!(The witch of the West enters)Ah ah here you are!
Wizard: Oh no! The witch of the West!!! If you kill her I will help you!
Witch: I want your magic shoes, Dorothy!
Dorothy: No! Let me go!
Witch: How about a little fire, Scarecrow? Huh?

Winkies : The Wicked Witch is dead!
Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch! Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed. Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She's gone where the goblins go. Let them know the Wicked Witch is dead!
Leader of Winkies : She's - she's dead. You've killed her.
Dorothy : I didn't mean to kill her - really I didn't. It's - it's just that he was on fire!
Leader of Winkies : Hail to Dorothy! The Wicked Witch is dead!

Wizard: But you don’t need a wizard! Mr Scarecrow, you are intelligent!(gives him an award). Mr Tinman, you have got a heart! (gives him a heart). Mr Lion, you have courage (gives him a medal with “courage” written on).
Scarecrow: I’m intelligent. I’ve got a brain!How can Iever thank you enough?
Tin Man: I’m happy. I’ve got a heart!Oh, it ticks! Listen! Look, it ticks!
Lion: I’m strong and brave. I have courage!I'm speechless!
S.T.L. : Thank you wizard!
Dorothy: But I can’t go home (crying)
S.T.L. : Poor Dorothy! ( Glinda enters)
Tin Man: Look, it’s Glinda ! She can help Dorothy!
Dorothy: Oh Glinda! Can you help me?
Glinda: Remember Dorothy, you have got the magic shoes! Click your heels three times and say “There’s no place like home”. You will fly to Kansas!
Dorothy:Oh, dear, that's too wonderful to be true!Oh, it's - it's going to be so hard to say goodbye. I love you all, too.Goodbye Tin Man. Oh, don't cry. You rust so dreadfully. Here, here's your oil can. Goodbye.Goodbye Mr Scarecrow.. Goodbye Mr Lion. I think I'll miss you most of all. Goodbye everyone!
