Dr. & Mrs. Robert V. Christian & Dr. Robert V. Christian, Jr. Scholarship

·  Awarded annually to entering freshmen.

·  Must be a declared chemistry major.

E.W. "Pete" Armstrong Endowed Scholarship

·  Awarded annually to LAS juniors with 20 or more hours of chemistry.

·  Must be a declared chemistry major.

·  Must have a 3.25 GPA or better.

·  Awarded on the basis of scholarly aptitude and achievement, not financial need.

·  Renewed annually until completion of BS in Chemistry or two years, whichever comes first. Student must apply for renewal and continue to satisfy scholarship criteria.

W. Mack Barlow Chemistry Scholarship

·  Awarded annually to a full or part-time LAS student(s).

·  Must be a declared chemistry major.

·  Consideration will be given to academic merit.

·  Awards will be made with regard to financial need. (Must complete Financial Aid section of LAS Scholarship Application form.)

·  May be renewed automatically based upon satisfactory academic achievements.

Jerry Cohlmia LAS/Chemistry Scholarship

·  Awarded annually to LAS student(s) with preference given to chemistry major(s).

·  Consideration given to academic performance, potential and leadership qualities, not financial need.

·  Renewable if student maintains satisfactory academic progress.

Fletcher-McKinley Endowed Scholarship

·  Awarded annually to a full or part-time student(s).

·  Must be a declared chemistry major.

·  Awards will be made without regard to financial need..

Frank Clifford Malone Research Scholarship Fund

·  Awarded annually to a full-time student(s) enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours, less for Summer.

·  Must be a declared chemistry major.

·  Must be involved in a research project in the area of organic chemistry during the award semester.

·  Consideration given to high school performance, college potential and leadership qualities, not financial need.

·  Awarded on a semester basis.

·  Renewable if the student(s) maintains satisfactory academic progress.

Charles & Nina Kirby-Jones Biochemistry Scholarship

·  Awarded annually to an upper-class, full-time student(s) with a declared Field Major in Biochemistry (through either the Biological Sciences or Chemistry departments).

·  Must have completed Biology 210, 211, Chemistry 111 and 112 (or equivalent courses) by the end of the Spring semester of application.

·  Must submit a one page essay discussing your motivation to pursue a career in biochemistry.

Charles M. Buess Chemistry/Business Program Scholarship Fund

·  Awarded annually to a student(s) with a declared Field Major in Chemistry/Business.

·  Sole consideration given to those showing an interest and ability in chemistry.
