Dear Sir/Madam,
I am pleased to inform you that the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), at the kind invitation of the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post (and Digital Convergence) of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transports and Networks of the Hellenic Republic, is co-organizing the Regional Conference on “Safety and Security in Cyber Space: Building-up Trust in the EU", which will take place in Zappeion Megaron in Athens, Greece, from 6 to 7 March 2014.
This Regional Conference should provide an opportunity for High level dialogue between the stakeholders on strategies and policies directed towards a more protected and reliable cyber space, laying emphasis on potential cyber threats and areas that have scope for improvement, while building confidence and security in the use of information and communication technologies. The Forum will also facilitate discussions on possible challenges that might be addressed at the regional level.
Please note that the meeting will be paperless. Documents related to the event, including Agenda, Registration Form, and Practical Information for Participants will be posted on the ITU website at http://www.itu.int/en/ITU-D/Regional-Presence/Europe/Pages/Safety-and-Security-in-Cyberspace.aspx
Participants are invited to download and print the documents needed for the event. The Conference will be conducted in English only.
Although there is no participation fee for this meeting, please note that all expenses concerning travel, accommodation and insurance of experts should be covered by your Administration / Organization / Company.
Participants requiring an entry visa to Greece should contact their nearest Greek Embassy or Consulate well in advance. Information on visa requirements can be found in the practical information for participants.

Registration will be open from 10 February 2014 to 28 February 2014. If your Administration / Organization / Company will be represented, you are requested to kindly nominate a contact person from your Organization, who will be responsible for registration of all members of your delegation (max. 4 persons). He/She will contact the host organizing team at who will send him/her a password and all relevant information that is needed for all the members of the delegation to be registered.
The password will be valid from 10 February to 28 February 2014.
