RHODES CONFERENCE FOR SECURITY AND STABILITY

(RHODES, 22-23 May 2017)

The 2nd Rhodes Conference for Security and Stability will take place in Rhodes, on 22 and 23 May 2017, on the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The news media are invited to cover the Conference, whose proceedings will take place at the “RODOS PALACE” hotel.

On the first day of the Conference, doorstep statements are scheduled between 11.00 and 11.15 a.m.. The family photo will be taken at 12.50 p.m.

A Press Conference will be held on 23 May, at 12.45 p.m.

ACCREDITATION

Access to the Conference venue will be granted exclusively to accredited journalists and technicians. The deadline for submission of applications for accreditation ends on Wednesday, 17 May 2017.

Accreditation is mandatory. Relevant applications submitted after the end of the deadline will not be accepted.

Media representatives can pick up their accreditation cards at the hotel according to the following schedule:

Sunday, 21 May (15:00 – 19.00)

Monday, 22 May (09.00 – 10.30)

The news media accreditation card grants news media representatives access to specific spaces. Access beyond these spaces will not be permitted unless the media representatives are accompanied by a Conference press officer.

News media representatives are asked to have their accreditation card with them at all times during their stay at the Conference venue. Additional identification may be requested at any time by security personnel.

For information regarding the possible requirement for a visa to enter Greece, news media representatives are kindly requested to contact the closest Greek Consulate.

PRESS CENTER

A Press Center with 60 work stations capacity will be available to representatives of the news media. At the Press Center, free internet access will be provided and the opening of the Conference proceedings, as well as the press conference of the event will be projected via a special screen.

News media representatives are asked to arrive at the Conference venue in due time. Security checks at the entrance to the Press Center or traffic measures in place in the area of the venue might require additional time.

Personnel at the Press Center help desk will be available in order to provide any necessary assistance to news media representatives.
