MONTHLY TOURNAMENT and CLUB QUALIFIER FOR THE NCGA FOUR-BALL NET CHAMPIONSHIP sectional qualifying tournament

ELIGIBILTY:
-For the club tournament: MPGC members and their guests (1 guest per member).
-For the NCGA club qualifier: MPGC active members only.
ENTRY FEE:
-For the club tournament: $30 for each active MPGC member; $40 for member guest.
-For the NCGA club qualifier: An additional $30 for each active MPGC member.
* Green fees and optional cart fees are the individual responsibility of each player.
PRIZE FUND: Winners will be awarded gift certificates redeemable in the pro shop.
SIGN-UP DEADLINE: February 14, 2015. Entry form and payment must be received not later than deadline for entry to be valid.
ACCEPTABLE ENTRY METHODS:
1)Entries with cash payments will be accepted only by club officers.
2)Entries with check or money order only can be placed in the tournament lock box located at the NCGA handicap computer at the golf course.
3)MAIL-IN REGISTRATION: Attach check or money order payment (do not send cash) to entry form. Make check or money order payable to MPGC and send to: MPGC, PO Box 578, Seaside CA 93955.
4)ONLINE REGISTRATION: Go to . If you haven’t already done so, create an egolfer profile. Once logged in, click GO for the MPGC club portal and then click on the event to register.
*** CONDITIONS OF PLAY ***
FORMAT: FOUR-BALL NET (2-person team better ball) – Each team member will play and score with their own ball on each hole. The best net score between the two team members will count as the team score on each hole. This tournament will also serve as the club qualifier for the NCGA FOUR-BALL NET CHAMPIONSHIPsectional qualifying tournament to be held at Del Monte GC on May 14, 2015.
HANDICAP USED:
-For the club tournament: players will use 90% (men) and 95% (women) of their course handicap at the designated tee-boxes. *Note: The course handicap will be determined using either the player’s established NCGA handicap index OR the modified handicap index established by the MPGC as deemed necessary and appropriate whichever is lower.
-For the NCGA club qualifier: players will also use 90% (men) and 95% (women) of their course handicap at the designated tee-boxes EXCEPT that the course handicap will be determined solely by the player’s established NCGA handicap index using a maximum index of 18.4 for calculation. All players with an index of 18.5 or higher are eligible to qualify, but must play to the maximum index of 18.4.
DIVISIONS: TBD based on the number of players signed up for this tournament.
TEE-BOX DESIGNATION:
-For the club tournament:TBD depending on the Divisions. Women will use the Red Tees. However, MEMBERS ONLY age 70 or over will have a choice from which tees they would like to tee-off from and their handicaps will be adjusted accordingly per the USGA Handicap System.
-For the NCGA club qualifier: Men will use the Blue Tees and women will use the White Tees and their handicaps will be adjusted accordingly per the USGA Handicap System.
