Albury Wodonga Health isseeking Medical Officers with at least three years post-graduateexperience, to take on this exciting and challenging role.
Our Department has FACEM management, a well-staffed junior medical workforce and the ability to study for the ACEM ED Certificate exists in this supported environment.
Albury Wodonga Health is an ACHS Accredited Victorian public hospital employing over 1500 staff across 2 campus locations – Albury and Wodonga - servicing a regional catchment of over 250,000 people in North-East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. The combined Emergency Departments treat up to 60,000 people per year with 19% being in the 0-14 age group.
The Albury-Wodonga region provides attractive lifestyle opportunities with its location on the Murray River and proximity to the Victorian snowfields and wine regions.

The role involves provision of care to patients presenting to the ED and supervision of junior staff in the Department.
The person we are seeking will be an Australian graduate who is able to demonstrate:
- Well-developed clinical management skills;
- The ability to prioritise and organise workload;
- Highly developed communication skills;
- A commitment to professional development, teaching and training.
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the relevant Award.
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia). Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.
