Thiscoursehasbeendesignedtogivethestudentsafoundationforaccountingpracticesandprocedures. GenerallyAcceptedAccountingPrinciplesandthestandardaccountingcyclewillbethekeyfocusofthecourse. Theexamplesandillustrationswilloriginatefrom LodgingOperations.
AIMSOBJECTIVES
Themainaimofthiscourseisto equipthestudentswith afoundationforaccountingpracticesandprocedures. Thiscoursehelpsstudentstolearnthebasicsoffinancialandmanagerialaccountingbyprovidingasolid presentationof the accountingcycle.Topicswillbepresentedin acontinuous,logicalsequence.Asaresult, attendancetotheclassteachinghourswill givetheparticipantsthebasisforself-study.Theorieswillbe discussedintheclasstogetherwithmorepracticalhoursinordertogivethestudentsagoodbasisforboth theoreticalandpracticaluseof accounting.
