2018 PMEA District 10 Elementary Band & Orchestra Fest - West

Dear Music Educators,
We are pleased to announce that the 2018 PMEA District 10 Elementary Band and Orchestra Fest - West will take place on Friday, April 27, 2018 in the Wilson West MS Auditorium. Our guest conductors will be Dr. Scott Watson (Band), Parkland SD and Mrs. Crystal Jordan (Orchestra), cellist and educator.
As a current PMEA member, you may nominate up to 8 students from your ensemble. Fifth and sixth grade students with one or more years of playing experience may be nominated. The Fest nomination form may be found on the District 10 website.
Please email the nomination form and a copy of your current PMEA card to Donnasue Thompson at by November 22. If you prefer mailing the form, please send it to Donnasue at Wilson SD, 2601 Grandview Blvd., West Lawn, PA 19609.
As you fill out the registration form, please include information about your students that will help us choose the best ensembles. Please indicate the range of brass players, if clarinets play over the break or not, etc. This will help me to determine part I or II for the students.
The cost of the festival is $24.00 per student. We are planning a band ensemble of approximately 110 students and an orchestra ensemble of 40 students.
Once the student personnel are selected for the ensembles, we will notify you by email, listing the students selected from your school. We will also send directions for completing the required PMEA Fest Student Information Forms” at that time.
The tentative schedule for the Fest will be:
12-12:45 Report time; 1:00-5:00 Rehearsal (3:00 Snack); 5:00 Dinner; 6:00 Photo; 7:00 Concert
