Swimming Party!!!!!!!

To celebrate the hard work and superb effort of our 3rd – 5th graders on the end of the year WV-MAP (WV Measure of Academic Progress) sessions, we are having a swimming party at the Upshur County Recreational Park swimming pool on June 1, 2015 in partnership with Rock Cave Elementary School. We will depart school at 9:30 a.m. and return at 2:20 p.m.

Students will need to bring a packed lunch to enjoy during our lunch break at the pool!

Students must put forth their best effort on all sessions of the WV-MAP in order to attend. Please remember the pool has been rented for a private party and will not be open to the public that day.

We ask that children wear their bathing suits under their clothes on June 1 in order to maximize the time for swimming. Also, students need to bring their own towel and sunscreen. Adults will be available to assist your child with applying sunscreen.

While we cannot transport parents on the bus for this activity, we would like to invite parents to meet us at BUHS to assist with the activity.

To help us keep the children safe at this activity, we do need to know if your child is able to swim. Students who cannot swim will be kept in the shallow section of the pool.

Please complete the attached form and return it no later than Friday, April 10.
