CEAT announces ‘Travel Safe’ health-check initiative in Bangalore
Offers free check-up services for LCV/SCV drivers’ eyesight and vehicle tyres
- Aims to provide eye check-up services to 500 drivers of light truck and small commercial vehicles as a part of their Netranjali programme
- Provides tyre health check services
Bangalore, 05 June 2017: With an objective to ensure the health and safety of the multitudes of LCV/SCV drivers in Bangalore, a leading Indian tyre manufacturer, CEAT Ltd will conduct its health check initiative, ‘Travel Safe’ in Bangalore starting 10th June 2017. With this initiative to help customers travel safe, CEAT will target approximately 500 drivers to offer free eye check-ups under CEAT Netranjali programme along with inspection of more than 500 vehicles. One of the major areas amongst many others covered under this initiative in Bangalore is Yeshwantpur.
As part of CEAT’s tyre health check, tyres will be examined and tagged as critical/ moderate/ healthy as per tyre Non Skid Depth. The customers will also be made aware of CEAT Buland range of tyres which has been designed with stiffer sidewall and high non-skid depth which will meet their needs of high loadability and longer life.
On the other hand, Netranjali programme will include extensive eye check-ups for drivers, free distribution of spectacles and referral to hospitals for treatment. Besides Bangalore, this initiative will be conducted across seven more cities in India.
