Project: Self-Selected Theme Project

Student Questions: Students list different kinds of challenges (physical, intellectual, artistic, personal. Choose one and write a research question about it.

Student realizes the need for information after a viewing, reading, listening or other type of sensory experience.
Presearch
Students establish a focus by developing an overview of the topic and exploring relationships. / Students list different kinds of challenges (physical, intellectual, artistic, personal). Choose one kind of challenge from their list and write a research question about it.
Search
Students plan and implement a search strategy by identifying information providers, selecting information resources and tools, and seeking relevant information. / List multiple sources of information that might help them answer their question. Possibilities include letters and diaries, biographies and autobiographies, newspapers and magazines, films and television, the Internet and databases. Students should find and examine at least three kinds of print and non-print sources. / Research strategies: Evaluate sources
Interpretation
