Parent Administrative Board/Committee Positions Preference Sheet

Parent Administrative Board Officers:

____ Parent Administrative Board Chairperson - At least a two (2) year commitment.

To serve as a liaison between The Andover Country Day School and its parents to enhance the environment of the school by providing support to all Parent Administrative Board activities.

Committee Positions:

____ Room Parent (one for each class) – To serve as a coordinator of individual classroom and serve as a liaison between the Director and individual classrooms to communicate any closing/emergency information. Also, coordinate class baskets for Parent Social/Open House (October) and class gifts as appropriate.

____ Yearbook Editor – To design and edit the School Yearbook for The Andover Country Day School graduating class. Computer experience necessary. Currently yearbook is produced on Shutterfly.

______Photographer – To take pictures throughout the school year for the school and the Yearbook produced for the graduating classes.

____ Family Holiday Event Chairperson - To plan and organize all aspects of a family holiday event for the families in December; Includes setup, arts & crafts, games, entertainment, Santa, refreshments, decorations and cleanup.

_____Family Holiday Event Committee – To assist with the orchestration of the Family Holiday Event held in December.

____ Fundraising Committee – To raise funds for the school for operational costs, new equipment, or other supplies as recommended by the Director and staff. This includes organizing the Fall Social (our main fundraiser).

____ Fundraising Correspondence Secretary – To manage all correspondence on existing list of potential donors for fundraising items. This job begins in the summer months prior to the upcoming school year.

____ Graduation Committee Chairperson – To plan and organize the Four/Five Year Old Graduation Program, which includes selecting theme, graduation book, decorations, refreshments set up and clean up.

_____Graduation Committee – To assist the orchestration of the Graduation held in June.

____ Event Committee– To help setup, clean and break down our various events (fall social, holiday party, graduation). There are 4-5 events per school year.

Parent Helper – We ask you to volunteer twice a year to come in and help out in Big Room with the various activities (gross motor/fine motor). Please indicate if you have any scheduling restrictions.
