UN Watch is anon-governmental organization that monitors the performance of the United Nations according to the yardstick of its Charter and protects human rights for all.UN Watch works to strengthen the role of democracies within the world body and to uphold the UN Charter guarantee of equal treatment for all nations large and small. UN Watch is outspoken for victims of human rights violations around the world, and organizes the annual Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy on behalf of 25 NGOs. About the Fellowship
We are currently accepting applications for the one-year Graduate Fellowship at UN Watch, to begin in September 2016.
Requirements:
- Ability to write superb English-language articles of publishable quality on the issues covered by UN Watch;
- At least one university degree;
- Strong understanding of international relations and the history of ideas;
- Qualities of initiative, intellectual curiosity and ability to work in a small, team-oriented environment operating under strict deadlines;
- Demonstrable commitment to the UN Watch mission.
Responsibilities of a UN Watch Fellow includedrafting reports, speeches, op-eds, press releasesand correspondence; monitoring and reporting on meetings at the UN; researching and fact-checking; website maintenance; social media management; and occasional assistance with administrative functions.
The Fellowship is located in Geneva, Switzerland, and offers a generous annual stipend, health insurance, and travel to and from Geneva.
