Department: Sales / Job Title: Territory Merchandiser – Northern CA/Bay Area
Salary: Full Time Part Time / Status: Non-Exempt Exempt
Position Summary
The ideal candidate is someone who can be a true ambassador for KeVita and represent the brand to our customers, consumers, brokers and distributor partners.
A KeVita Merchandiser is an integral contact with our consumers and customers at store level. They are responsible for marketing KeVita products by means of merchandising and demos to attract customers, increase sales and insure that shelf space is properly managed.
The KeVita Merchandiser must be extremely flexible and enjoy a “fast-pace” environment where creative solutions, relationship building and sheer drive to win are the formula for success. This specific role will cover the South Bay/Peninsula Area retail territory which includes as far South as Santa Cruz, East to Fremont, and North to San Mateo. The ideal candidate would reside in the San Jose area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
·  Plan and carry out merchandising initiatives to agreed budgets and timescales. Daily Responsibilities include:
o  Call on target accounts at agreed upon schedule
o  Shelf Management
o  Taking Inventory
o  Removing any expired or damaged products from shelf and replacing products
o  Insure that proper shelf tags and pricing are reflected at shelf
o  Verify proper SRP and Promotional Pricing
o  Meet with store managers or buyers for ordering product
o  Utilize market data to improve product placement and retail support
o  Enhance the business by gaining new points of distribution
·  Participate in new store openings and store reset support
·  Conduct detailed account audits as assigned, take pictures; include photos with reporting documents
·  Open new accounts and improve product placement as directed by the Director of Sales
·  Conduct demos upon request
·  Develop and maintain an organized list of target/key accounts in the territory
·  Weekly/Monthly planning of merchandising execution with local TSM
·  Daily communication with team & distributor members as directed
·  Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development
·  Maintain account information in company CRM System as directed
Estimated time allocation: 90%
Administrative Duties
·  Submit weekly work logs including mileage
·  Submit accurate expense reports on time
·  Other records or documentation as assigned
Estimated allocation: 10%
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
·  Experience selling BEVERAGES to retail independents, Whole Foods Market and chain accounts is preferred
·  Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends
·  Motivated, enthusiastic and positive
·  Must be a self-starter and team player
·  Excellent driving record and insurance/license, required
·  Personal vehicle to use
·  Experience in merchandising preferred
·  Experience in sales and/or natural products a plus
·  Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts
·  Excellent problem solving abilities
·  Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced industry
·  Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
·  Candidate must live in the San Jose area

Reports to: Territory Sales Manager

Physical and Environmental Conditions

Performance of duties and tasks uses standard office equipment. A majority of time will be working in the field with retail partners and broker partners. Remote home office location is acceptable. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and vehicle is required. Ability to lift 30 lbs. Willingness to work weekends and odd hours as requested by management or retail partners.
