Information on work plans of the Investment promotion agency of the Rostov region for 2017
In 2017, as in the past, the Investment Promotion Agency of the Rostov region (IPA) is to follow the priorities of the regional investment policy, focusing on the most productive, useful for the Don economy directions of work with investors. First of all, it is localization of the industrial projects, creation of advanced production in the Rostov region.
At the beginning of 2017, the Investment Promotion Agency of Rostov region had 51 projects in the work with the investments volume of more than 178 billion rubles. More than 60% of the projects in the Agency’s project portfolio are manufacturing, related to such spheres where the Rostov region can come in top place, strengthen its competitive advantages. Horizons of implementing the projects with the Agency’s participation in 2017 are within 2018-2020.
The areas in which the IPA will continue to work in 2017 include investment potential promotion of the first in the south of Russia territory of rapid social and economic development "Gukovo" and so-called past mining territories of the Rostov region in general;agriculture and food industry (greenhouse complexes, production and processing of milk, production of meat semi-finished products and feedmill); the construction of data processing centers (data centers); production of polymer goods; development of the port infrastructure of the Don region, work on the localization of a number of projects related to the new airport complex "Platov" and others.The special attention will be paid to projects in the field of renewable energy sources development, in particular - the construction of wind farms in the Rostov region. Russia is just beginning to integrate into the global trend of developing clean, green energy, and the Rostov region has good prerequisites for becoming one of the main growth points here. In this context, the Investment promotion agency of Rostov region works with several investors at the same time, including profile foreign companies interested in implementing projects in the field of renewable energy sources in the Don region.
Besides, the IPA will continue to work on a number of industrial projects, which in 2017 will enter a new stage of implementation (start of production or new production sites) and have the potential for further development. This is, in particular, the project of building a pet food factory of the Mars companyin the Aksay district. The official opening ceremony is planned for October 2017. The project in the Rostov region is one of Mars' largest investments in the development of Russian production assets over the past 10 years. The volume of investments at the first stage exceeded 4 billion rubles, in the future the prospect of expansion of the project, doubling of production is quite real. The same is about the projects of companies "Louis Dreyfus", "Guardian", "TechnoNIKOL" and a number of other leading foreign and domestic companies, industry leaders, investing in the Don economy.
Also in 2017, the Investment Promotion Agency of Rostov region is planning to promote the Rostov region investment potential in the relevant Russian and foreign forums.
