START UP SETTING
Power Button Setting
You can only choose 1 between 2 option, Mechanical Power Button and Trigger Power Button to power AR-B1656. Default is Mechanical Power Button.
· Place power button cable on CN2 if you use Mechanical Power Button. Wait for 4-6 second after you turn off the power
· Place power button cable on CN3 if you use Trigger Power Button. To turn off the system hold button for 4-6 second.
ByPass Setting à OPTION
To protect the initial port from bypassing, place the cap on the location 2-3 of J1

GPIO can only be set as all input or all output.
PROGRAM MAC ADDRESS
Program the eeprom in engineering mode
(1) Boot from DOS (Win 98 preferred) and type b44diag –b44eng
(2) 0:>sromutil –m 001018000001 14e4 8401. MAC address 001018000001, SVID:14e4 and SID:8401 will be programmed into eeprom. You can change to other values if nevessary.
(3) 0:>sromutil –b 0. Disable PXE function on NIC if PXE binary image is being integrated into BIOS.
(4) 0:>sromutil –d –feeprom.bin, you will get your golden eeprom.bin file
(5) Exit to DOS
(6) Re-boot the system
(7) Under engineering mode, customers can see a list of all commands by typing “help” after 0:>. In addition, for all parameters, please type 0:>command ? (for example 0:>secfg ?, and you should get a list of all parameters associated with that specific command),
BYPASS TESTING à OPTION
Our board has a jumper to initialize state, bypass or normal on J1. Connected J1.1 to J1.2 means initialize state is bypass, and connected J1.2 to J1.3 means initialize state is normal.
